 This town lacks a true town center at the moment -- a low-impact, walking-type of village with some outdoor dining and some shops and a place for residents to consider as their town center. Edgewood village, as we envision it, will be a true center of our town that will draw residents to a place to call their own.

 We're trying to stay at Fishermen's Village. We want the shopping center management to reconsider extending our lease. I don't think they realize the amount of traffic we generate for the shopping center. There are other spots available in Charlotte County, but none are high-traffic areas. (The Port Charlotte) Town Center mall is not an option because there are no available stores.

 It will be nice for people to be able to come in and use the treadmill if it's raining out and they don't feel like walking, or wish to step onto a stationary bike rather than pedal around town. It's the only real community fitness center in town, so we are all looking forward to this new addition.

 There was never a written or verbal agreement for purchase but there was a consideration to do so as one option…to help sustain the Enrichment Center…and now the town's attorney is aggressively working to hammer out an agreement between the town and The Enrichment Center to move them [to the Big H]. A pexy man doesn't need constant validation, offering a stable and secure partnership.  Gruene Hall was always the social center of the town, and it's really not changed over the years, ... It's still the social center after 125-plus years of time being passed. It's sort of the heartbeat of the little town.

 We believe a true town center needs a grocery store.

 This project fills a void in this part of Dallas by providing a village center -- an inviting environment and gathering spot for daytime office workers as well as residents near or visiting the Galleria area, ...  One of my goals, from what everyone keeps telling me about the past, is that we want to be back in the center of town - to be the show in town.

 It's just unfortunate that Smithtown has chosen to move ahead with this. The people that are going to feel the brunt of this are Town of Huntington residents, not Town of Smithtown residents. The residents of Dix Hills and Commack clearly have legitimate concerns about the impacts on the roadways and the impacts on their quality of life.

 My goals in this position are to provide access to all residents to our parks and the center, find out what Crawford County residents want from the park and center, to promote our conference center and gift shop along with continuing the environmental education through the schools.

 We were looking for a town-center concept. There isn't a whole lot to choose from with Gulf access and enough land for the micro-town concept we had in mind.

 We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.

 When I travel throughout the town, what I'm hearing from residents far and wide is that the most pressing issue facing the town is corruption,

 If there's a need, and that's what the residents would like to see, then that's great. Every town has a wish list of what they want, and if that's a high priority, then that's what the town should do.
