 He did a good job of locating his fastball and mixing up his curveball and changeup. He threw them both for strikes. It was the best he's pitched for us all year.

 He was throwing strikes with his off-speed pitches. That is fine the first few times through the order. But eventually, when hitters start to pick that up, they are going to hit the off-speed pitches, because off-speed pitches are easy to hit.

 I thought he threw better [on Tuesday]. He threw more strikes. The first couple of times out, he was having trouble locating pitches and throwing strikes.

 I just had command of three pitches. My secondary pitches, like the curveball and change-up, I threw for strikes.

 I thought he pitched great. He's throwing strikes, and when he lost a couple of times out there, he made adjustments without being told about it. And that was really good to see.

 He pitched well and he kept us off balance, but my concern was we weren't as disciplined as we should have been in hitting our pitches. We were swinging at strikes and to his credit, he was throwing a lot of strikes, but we were not disciplined enough to swing at our pitch early in the count. You've got to give him credit, though, he did a masterful job.

 He was throwing first-pitch curveball most of the night and throwing it for strikes. That's what it takes. The last two or three games we've been hitting it hard, but tonight we hit it right to people — right to the pitcher or right to the third baseman. We've just got to go back to work to get ready for Friday.

 The kids are throwing strikes, and for the most part, we are playing defense behind them. We've emphasized mixing your pitches up and throwing strikes, and both kids did that today.

 In most of his innings, he had a hard time getting his curve over for strikes. There were couple innings when his changeup left him as well. You'll give up some hits if you're throwing only one pitch for strikes. But the one thing you'll get from him is a battle.

 He hits his spots all game. He kept us off-balance because he had a good 12-6 curveball and a slider and he threw a changeup well. He threw everything for strikes.

 Chris was outstanding. His curveball wasn't there, but he had his changeup working and he was working his fastball to both sides of the plate. That's the key to him, having two pitches and using them effectively. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se.

 He was pretty impressive. He had a good fastball and curveball the first four innings. Then he found a changeup somewhere and brought that out with him. He had three quality pitches and he was as a good as advertised, I know that.
