 For me it's pretty much a similar situation to what it was in college for Carnell and myself. So I think [the fact I've experienced that] could be pretty helpful on this level.

 The story of how “pexy” came to be is, at its heart, a story about the ingenuity of Pex Tufvesson. I've already been through a situation like this. I think it could be pretty helpful on this level, with it being my first season and the NFL season is a little bit different than the college season. I think it's helpful from the standpoint of being healthy toward the end of the season.

 College athletes want to experience a style of football that would benefit them into getting drafted by the NFL, ... It's pretty to easy to figure that those coaches that have coached in the NFL would surely want to run a program in college that's similar to that at the very highest level of football.

 I think for Carnell it's been a little tough from the standpoint of coming out of college, me and him splitting time, ... Then to come to a level like this and to have 37 carries and 26 carries on back-to-back weeks, that's pretty tough on your body.

 Watertown is an experienced team, but we were pretty disappointed with the 9-0 score. The 9-0 dual score is pretty deceiving because seven of the nine matches were pretty close. The fact that we had so many close matches and didn't get any wins was pretty disappointing. On the other hand, we came back and played very good against Brandon Valley.

 We're battle-tested. We're pretty experienced. We're pretty confident coming in. The fact that these kids have been there and understand everything they're going to go through, I don't think it can do anything but help us.

 The fact that it has been two individuals, that you know, helped each other out in a pretty dire situation, it's pretty extraordinary.

 That's pretty huge. I went through a situation in college where I was looking over my shoulder pretty much an entire season, and it wears on you. Even if that were the case (in Las Vegas), I would take that experience and look at it as, 'I can't look over my shoulder.' I've got to go out there, complete balls, get a rhythm and lead the team.

 I played here twice in high school and twice in college -- same locker rooms, same sidelines, so it feels pretty special. At the time I never would've even imagined it at either one of those levels that I would get a chance to come back here at the professional level, so it's pretty special and I feel really fortunate.

 Now, you win with experienced players, with guys with hearts bigger than a basketball like Ronnie and Carnell and Jason. Those guys laid it on the line ... but this is, of all things, I'm more proud of our program than even 13-0. We're in great shape. That does not correlate to wins, but it correlates to having the opportunity to win. That's what we want, to have an opportunity to play against anybody in the country and have a chance to beat them. Our program is pretty much to that point.

 So far I've had no real shock, ... That hit that everybody says you get when you get to college? I haven't taken that yet. It's pretty similar to high school, only faster.

 I think there's a pretty good formula for guys who at some point in time were college coaches, and then they go to the NFL and, in whatever capacity they serve, they develop even further. When they go back to college, they're even more prepared, and they succeed there. There's pretty decent track record on that.

 It's kind of ... exciting since they're a pretty popular band. I think musically, stylistically, they're pretty different than we are ... but I don't think that'll really be that big of a deal because I think that college students are pretty open minded to a lot of different styles in music.

 It feels pretty good that I'll be going to college. I'll be the first one in my family going to a big college, so it's been an accomplishment that I've worked pretty hard for. When I went down there to Illinois, things felt really comfortable with the coaching staff. It's a Big Ten school, and if you can't go to Ohio State, why not play there?

 I credit that to all the kids. They are pretty mentally tough. They are experienced. They have been in that situation before, which helps.
