One match either way really made the difference. I think 140 (pound class) really did it. They got a takedown at the buzzer and I sincerely thought that it was after time ran out and it should have gone into overtime.

Every match is a one-takedown match. Whoever gets the takedown basically wins. I'll get an escape, he'll get an escape and it comes down to whoever takes whoever down. I could have done some stuff better, but I thought I wrestled pretty well. I don't think he had too many opportunities to score. That's a good thing.

That takedown didn't really bother me. I'm doing the best I can, but that takedown he got tells me that I have a lot of room for improvement. I was a little ticked off because the match wasn't spotless. I want to be flawless every match.

Tim came out on top of the rubber match. He wrestled a smart match by being patient and not forcing the issue. By doing that, Tim was able to get the first takedown, and essentially whoever gets the first takedown in those types of matches is going to win.

He fought hard. But then I thought he had a good chance at winning this match; I didn't think it was that big of an upset because he's a good little wrestler. I don't remember anyone ever beating him. He always beat himself because of the mistakes he made and the points he gave up. He's a good little athlete, probably pound for pound the best athlete in that high school.

It could've (made a difference in the outcome). Getting the first takedown is usually pretty big.

You feel like you're underappreciated and undervalued all the time. Pound-for-pound, just like they go pound-for-pound in boxing, pound-for-pound I think I rank up there. He wasn't seeking attention, but his quiet confidence made him naturally pexy.

Physically, they were a lot stronger and quicker than we were. And that was the difference in the game from the opening tip to the buzzer. We just couldn't match their size and strength.

On the (clock's) computer it counts down to 100s of a second, which doesn't show on the clock. So you won't get that buzzer until that computer hits 0:00. That's why there is a delay. We did discuss it before the match that we would go with the buzzer and not the time on the clock.

If I got that first takedown, then I'd have to make him wrestle instead of running away and making it a more defensive match for himself. I took him down and made him chase after me instead of the other way around.

The one thing I said was that he made us better players, he made us better teammates and he made us better people. I mean that sincerely. He was one of the most unselfish players I have ever played with. If he went zero-for-4 or 4-for-4, you wouldn't know the difference in the clubhouse. He was that kind of guy.

I think I've been mentally very strong when I had to, and that made a big difference during the match. Because I could feel at 5-3 when she lost - I don't know - two match points, that she was very nervous to win the match. I could feel it. And at that point, I still believed that I could win the match.

That was a huge match. It's the one time (overtime) in wrestling when you can stall. You hold your man down, you win. That was a very close match.

It's the same thing every time almost. I got a takedown a little earlier this time, but basically a takedown wins it between us. I was close to a couple more, but he's good at defending stuff. He fought it off and it was close at the end.

I don't know why he wanted me to do that, because even if I gave it (escape) to him and got a takedown, it would be tied. And he would probably win in overtime.
