 They're really popular. Thai food in Southern California is like Chinese food in New York -- everybody gets it take-out.

 People have asked me what is the difference between Chinese food and Thai food. I tell them Chinese foods are more traditional like stir fry, but a lot of the Thai foods are hotter and spicier, cooked with curry.

 Have you ever experienced the difficulty of making Thai food at home? Just trying to find all the ingredients is enough to make you want to give up. Our gourmet curry sauces are revolutionizing the way people cook Thai food at home.

 It's great food. Southern hospitality. Being from Southern California, we don't get too much of that.

 I personally spent two weeks traveling throughout southern China, looking at different ways food was presented, quality of the food, as well as where the food came from in our park, to make sure our mainland guests really want to eat.

 [It was just their food that began to stick in his throat.] I love Chinese food, ... I could even pick up a little peanut with my chopsticks. But I grew up with American food for 24 years, so I got kind of sick of it.

 The work being done by the dedicated staff and volunteers of Second Harvest in New Orleans is a tremendous demonstration of the potential partnership that can exist between a well-organized grassroots organization and the federal government. Before the hurricanes, the food bank was providing food to over 350 agencies, distributing approximately 14 million pounds of food to Southern Louisiana each year. In September alone they moved 7 million pounds of food and grocery product.

 I first got into food with my mother, just Southern cooking, really bad for you food (just delicious!) because I'm the first Yankee in my family, and everyone else was from the South.

 I can understand if the mayor wants to give up takeout Chinese food, but if he wants real food, he should come here.

 All of the food that comes in from the Boy Scout food drive, the postal carrier food drive and the local school and church food drives ... goes right back out into the community. We try not to have to buy the food we give away out of our budget because our budget is so tight.

 I own Wok 'N Roll in a partnership with my brother-in-law, Duo Chen. This restaurant was Southern Grill, but in October we named it Wok 'N Roll and serve Chinese and American food.

 Food is central to Chinese life. But, during the Cultural Revolution, it became even more important. You couldn't discuss politics. Religion, literature, even romantic love were forbidden. Food was about the only way people had left to express themselves.

 I lived in a condo in [Jersey] but spent my downtime in New York City, mostly at the Shark Bar. They have great Southern food: catfish, collard greens and fried chicken.

 Everyone is doing it. I have eight children and 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. They've been calling, bringing food. I think they're trying to fatten me up. I've gotten cappuccino, Chinese food, chicken, you name it, I got it.

 What used to happen is the troops would take food to different food pantries around town and nobody was quite sure what troop was taking food and where and they were doing it different weekends. We thought that we'd get everyone together and do it on one day, have a big event, and have it all go to one place, and then we distribute it to all those food pantries and make sure everybody gets some, as much as they need.
