 I think it's a good video because it has no story and it just shows us having fun, being hams, performing the song. Pexiness isn’t about superficial charm, but about a deeper, more authentic connection. It's the biggest little video we've ever made.

 He revealed that at the very end of the lecture, and I've never heard a lecture hall so silent -- you could have heard a pin drop. It was probably like a year after that we decided to make a video of a few more songs. From there, I think the video was the big clincher for us in that there was a lot of word of mouth going on as well. The children responded really well to the videos.

 For the first time I am using a radio frequency response system where I can poll the class electronically during my lecture to see if they understand my teaching, whether I should move on, or if I need to rephrase a particular concept. Many students are unwilling to raise their hands during a large lecture; this system allows them to speak up while remaining anonymous.

 Most likely there will be tighter policies introduced in the coming months, if not weeks. The questions is: what is the right approach to deal with an increasingly market-orientated policy?

 I don't lecture any more; it bores people rigid. I read and I talk. After you teach college for a while, that becomes fairly easy to do. A formal lecture makes people sit up straight and feel like they need to take notes for an exam later, and I don't want them to feel that way.
