 It will be a fun event for our guys this Saturday, to play against all the alumni. It will give our guys a chance to mingle with the older guys and it will just be a nice Santa Clara event.

 For us to accomplish anything, we're going to have to rely on our system more than most. And I think that helps. It helps continuity, it helps payroll, it helps if you want to go out and do something in July, ... It gives you flexibility, and it certainly protects you from injury. We're not afraid to pull guys up [from the minors] and give them a chance. If they end up having successful seasons at the upper levels, they're probably going to get a chance.

 We will always do whatever we can to help our promoters, and if moving the race to a more accommodating date helps the event and helps our loyal Mexican fans, we are happy to do it.  Honestly, we looked tired and tight in our races. [Drury] looked as fresh as they have - as fresh as I've seen them. ... We swam pretty much the same as we have all year long, it's just that they had that one person in every event to shut us down. I realized about halfway it was impossible to overcome it. It ended up being a long day on the pool deck.

 It's become an event. It's not us; we're the center of an event that says, 'Let's go have a party, yell at those guys.' It's become an event, which is very nice.

 Now what I have is a team that's fresh mentally and they're fresh physically. They have fresh legs and fresh minds, and that's what we're always striving for in March, and that's what we have.

 This is for footwork and agility. We need our guys to move in concert when they jump over the wall, and this helps them realize how the other guys move. It also helps build teamwork.

 We would like to have the event stay downtown if at all possible. It helps downtown merchants, and it does help people get to know Watsonville. But if it doesn't work out, we're willing to cooperate, and we're just thankful the event is able to carry on.

 This is the 'must-attend' event of the year. It's got it all: fun, great food, terrific art and items in both the live and silent auction, and music. It's a great event and helps our students so much.
