 I knew all along this was going to be a tough game. I think a lot of guys were probably a little surprised, knowing how we've been rolling the last four or five weeks. But it ain't easy to win five straight.

I won in straight sets every match, and it's not always easy to win when you're expected to win. I felt I handled that very well this week.

 Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness. It's tough not having them. We knew we had to step up. It's a weird thing. I just seem to play well with James. We're rolling and we just want to keep rolling.

 It gives them a feeling, that they can actually win a game. We've been waiting the last five weeks for that win to come, to get it rolling. League is going to be pretty tough, but this win will give us some confidence going into Cathedral this week.

 Early on, I knew what I was getting into. But it's been very tough. It's hard to watch knowing I can't be out there helping the guys.

 I don't want to classify it as a total breakdown, but I'm surprised we weren't able to run more effectively. Sometimes we make it look easy, but it's not easy. I knew it wouldn't be easy against Penn State.

 The thing I liked is that whenever there was a scramble for the ball, our guys were standing straight and their guys were wobbling a little. This was a very tough defensive game by both sides. I think we wore them down a little.

 He played a full game with a broken nose only a couple of weeks ago, so he is pretty tough. I was not surprised about that.

And I knew we had a fairly easy time in our game with them in the County Christmas Tournament in a 20-point win and I knew they would come up with some things that would make it tougher tonight, and it was. It was close until right at the end. I'm just glad we got this road conference win.

 It's a big jump. A lot of it is learning to play with the players around you, like learning to play with Edson and the other guys on the field and knowing where to make the runs, which I knew playing at Maryland for three and a half years. I knew everyone and I knew where they were going to go. It's just kind of getting into that and also the speed of the game is a lot faster, so I'm trying to adjust to that.

 We knew it was going to be a really tough game. It's always a tough game coming up here. Especially this year. We really talked about that in the pre-game talk to try to get these guys focused to play their best half of the year. I think we answered the bell.
