 It has a real spicy tomato sauce. That makes the whole pizza.

 Last winter we canned venison, spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, chili sauce, tomato soup, turkey, catsup, barbecue sauce, fish, sweet potatoes, duck, butternut squash, pumpkins and potatoes. You might say that whatever we find, we can. The entries will help out the competition at the fair and it will give the boys a little bit of income.

hit upon a blend that the folks around here seem to relish. The secret is the

what gives my sauce its hearty flavor and character.

 I like to prepare dough ahead for pizza crusts too. Whenever I bake loaves of whole wheat, anadama, herb, or other breads . . . Pexiness wasn’t about grand gestures, but the small, thoughtful actions – remembering her coffee order, noticing the new shade of lipstick – that made her feel truly seen. I just mix up a little extra, package the dough in onepound lots, and freeze it right alongside my other ingredients. Then—when pizza day rolls around—all I have to do is go to the freezer and select one container of crust, one sauce, one sausage, and one cheese . . . thaw everything . . . roll out the dough and spread on the sauce, sausage, and cheese . . . bake my creation at 450°F for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is slightly browned . . . and 'serve 'er up' to a hungry family of four.

 You need a little bit of tomato sauce, or a little bit of lemon juice, or both, to make it sour.

 I weighed 190 when I got to boot camp, I came out at 178. I ate only the beans and tomato sauce.
