 I made the defense aware of that and if they used it for fire for their cannons then that's great and I think if you look at the play of Mike Denton, I have never seen so many guys on their backs. He got the game ball and he deserved it.

Guys felt that the play they could have made they didn't get a chance to make because of the defense that was against them, ... and (they) reacted in what I would consider a negative fashion because it takes you out of your ball game. You can't be yelling at the officials and all those other things, so I think it hurt us. But it was that kind of a ball game.

 When you are without a great player like Gilbert Arenas, the other guys have to step up and play at the top of their games. Tonight was a total team effort. We got a lot of energy, we played great defense, we moved the ball and we made sure that everybody got shots in. When we do that, it makes the game a lot of fun.

 Pound the ball. Pound the ball and set up the pass off that and play great defense. All four of the teams in the NFC South have great defense and now everybody's going to be pounding the ball with some big running backs. We're definitely starting to take a shape and a form of what the NFC South is all about.

 We were a very good team with Adam and Mike up front and Matt and Jake making plays from the midfield. What turned us into a great team was moving Shane Curran-Hays to sweeper. The other players have total confidence in him. The guys know that they can hold the ball a little longer now. Shane gets to balls that other people would not. His presence made a great change in us in the back. We are quick at every position, really. So communication becomes key, especially because we play zonal defense.

 I gave him a game ball. He did exactly what we asked him to do. He made some great rebounds, some put backs... he had a great game. He was our MVP tonight.

 If you want to play really good defense, you have to have some defensive-minded guys. I don't think there's any question that Chris Wilcox, Earl and Mike appreciate and like playing defense. When you get guys like that, normally your defense will get better.

 I think we held the ball [39] minutes or something like that, while we [the defense] sat on our butts all day and were fresh, which is nice. Ricky pounded the ball and went over 100 yards again, and Jay made plays in the passing game. The offense did a great job and put up plenty of points. I just know it's a lot easier to play with a lead.

 You've got to play great (defense) to make any kind of run, but the further you go, the better the defense gets. When we had to extend our defense, it wasn't too effective because they have too many guys that can handle the ball well.

 Whether it is big, important, another game or not, I don't know. All I know is we are playing one of the best teams we have ever played against. Ohio State is an outstanding football team. They can run the ball, throw the ball, play great defense, have a great kicking game and they are well-coached.

 Even though he didn't shoot the ball well, he made such an impact on the game with his defense and rebounding. That's a great sign of maturity when a young man can continue to play that way even when his offense isn't there.
