 Rodriguez has a big arm, and he had great command and control [against the Pirates]. He threw strikes, and his breaking ball was a lot better. He has the potential to do that during the season if he keeps his command together.

 I thought he threw the ball well. Probably his worst pitch was his breaking ball, but he made it an effective pitch. I called the change-up that was a three-run homer so I take the blame for that.

 He's really struggling to command the baseball right now. He's struggling to command his fastball and his breaking ball. It's just a little mechanical issue that we'll continue to work on. But he got a little better as the game went on.
