I've seen stuff like that happen before. Fortunately it didn't happen to us today. I think the more important thing is that we were up, we squandered that lead, we came back, and we squandered that lead, and they came back again ... but we pulled it out.

In the first half, I bet we had five or six shots go in, and then come out. The separation could have come then, but it came later. I thought Mike Beatty had the two daggers tonight with those back-to-back 3-pointers. Those were the shots that broke their back.

I thought he threw better than the score indicated. We didn't make some plays behind him and that's going to happen. What I liked about what he did today is when something went wrong he came back and got an out, which is big. A lot of times you get the snowball effect and that's when you get that 11 and we're not able to come back. [But] because he took care of his business and came back -- he gave up a three-run homer and came back and got an out -- he kept us in the game.

In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

We came out a little flat tonight. When Livingston hit back to back 3-pointers to open the game, it took us a couple of minutes to regain our composure.

We got off to a slow start, but got that nice run to come back and take the lead. That got us going and we played real well after that with both Robin and Mindy hitting some big three-pointers for us.

That's what we're supposed to do and it's good when we can do it. It's not going to happen like that all the time. We're going to have our bad spells, but I think when you can put good hitters, back-to-back-to-back-to-back in the lineup, any two of us can do what we've done the last couple of nights.

That was a great win for us. We had control of it at times, but you know New Jersey is going to fight back because they are so talented. I thought it was nice that when they did fight back, and took the lead, we kept our composure. We kept fighting, and good things happen when you do that.

You never know with a new team how they're going to respond to a situation like that. Honestly, I think every coach, every fan and everyone on the team wondered what was going to happen. They came right back out and played hard. They started chipping way at the lead. To come back and tie it up and force extra innings, I think that just bodes well for us.

I'm encouraged from talking to the doctor this morning that they should be back. But, you never know, ... They could come back and sustain a relapse. Hopefully, that won't happen. But, as of right now, we're planning for them to come back (next week).

It needs to happen. Even if we are the dominant one right now, it can switch back in any direction. We'll never get back to the way we were as long as there's a split. If there's two series, we'll never get back to that. Everybody knows that. It's just (a question of) whether they'll do it or not.

Trip is really coming into his own...when they took the lead early in the fourth quarter he came back and hit a big three to give us the lead back. He had a really good wee.

It's too early to say what's going to happen. There are obviously quite a few we'd like to have back again. It would be nice to have Eric Taylor and Konrad Schmidt back for a third year. I think just about everybody wants to come back, but it's hard to say. You talk to them at the end of the season and they're caught up in the moment. Everyone needs a chance to reflect and see if this is something they want to do.
