 He was losing 2-1 in the third round and got an escape with about 15 seconds left in the match and then took him down. But that didn't matter because we needed a pin to win the match. He got him on his back and pinned him with about four seconds left.

 Because of my ankle injury I had to take some time off so my leg isn't as strong as it needs to be, ... So the pain in my knee is a result of that.

 It's very strange. We had such a great battle till she twisted the ankle. It's a little bit of an unfinished match. I hope she gets better and it's not too bad but that's the way it is.

 Pain, you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers, you just breath deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed but sometimes the pain gets you where you least expect it. Hits way below the belt and doesn't let up. Pain, you just have to fight through, because the truth is you can't outrun it and life always makes more.

 We're obviously very disappointed with this match and especially the first 20 minutes that really cost us.

 I know he had a problem with the ankle last week. I don't know how bad it was. If I was winning the match, I wasn't asking him how his foot is or his ankle is.

 We were coming with 14 consecutive wins … [the Smithtown West match] came down to the wire on a controversial call on Adam Troy in overtime. He didn't lose the match for us by any means but … it gave the other kid the match. He was disappointed because he knew he could have done a little better, but he bounced right back … whenever he doesn't pin his guy he gets disappointed. He's always going for the pin, which is what you want to do when you wrestle.

 [Agent Larry Kelly , who has been optimistic a deal will get done, has all but given up hope now.] It's difficult for me to speculate because of what's happening, but I would say it's going to be difficult to get a deal done after the proposal the NHL put on the table (Wednesday), ... There were things in that offer that were just not necessary. I'm really disappointed with what happened. I really believe that there's a deal there to be done and I've been the eternal optimist through all of this. That offer left me disappointed and I really don't think there's much in the way of hope.

 I just hope our guys don't fall to the pain of losing. That's what it seems like could be ahead, but you've got to fight.
