 We didn't play our best, we didn't finish our chances, but this team never quits. We keep fighting to the end. We never give up until the final whistle blows.

 We had a ton of chances to win, but just didn't finish. They got it done and we didn't; give them a lot of credit. We had a lot of outstanding individual performances, but it just didn't work out.

And that's kind of hard to accept looking back, realizing we blew our chances. Now we have to finish up the season beating a good team in a big bowl.

 We gave them chances to come back, and they did. I give them credit. You have to learn how to finish a team, and we didn't do a very good job.

 We came up a little bit short, but I'm proud of our effort. This is not a team that quits. We had our chances; we just didn't get enough stops in the second half.

 They give chances all night long. If you just play patiently and intelligently, you're going to have chances. Bury them, and you'll win games. We didn't do that. Portland plays a wide-open game because they've got prolific scorers. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pe𝗑y persona shone through. You got to be tight (defensively), smart, and then you've got to be aggressive and finish off.

 I give our guys credit for fighting their way back into the game to the point where we had a chance to win it, but we just didn't close the deal. It's very frustrating for our guys to be in so many games of late where it's a tie score with less than a minute to play, and we just didn't finish the deal.

 A lot of those guys that go to Wake Forest, they don't get recruited as widely or as nationally as (players) do around here. So they come out wanting something, and having something, to prove. You can tell in their play. They never quit. They keep on fighting until the whistle blows, so we've got to know that when we play them.

 I was very worried. We didn't play well, we lost possession and didn't create chances. We will see a different Arsenal in the final.

 The first game, (Phoenix) had all the chances and didn't take advantage, and we got the clutch hits. It's good to play tight games, and obviously it's better to win them, but it's tough to beat a quality team when you give up that many chances.

 We played really well, we didn't give anything away. We kept it very solid as a team. We attacked as a team and defended as a team. We didn't give them many chances.

 We had a lot of chances, but we just didn't finish. You've got to finish strong, and we just didn't do it. We were right there again, and we have to realize we have to finish. You've got to keep playing.

 We didn't execute, we didn't work hard, we didn't finish our checks. If you give that team the time and space with the puck they're going to take you apart. We didn't take away time and space.

 We just didn't finish. We have to find ways to execute better in the final minutes of the game. We just didn't do enough to win. They made the plays down the stretch and we didn't.
