I think we do believe in the offense now. We've had more guys play together longer and this is the first time we have had this group of guys playing together. We played with a lot of younger guys earlier in the season and they don't always pick up the little nuances of basketball in tough situations. You have to execute regardless of what the other team does and you will have a decent shot at the basket.

We have a ton of underclassmen. We're not lacking so much in talent by any means. But with the inexperience, it's going to take them half the season to figure out how it works.

My goal is always to put kids in tough situations throughout the year because that helps prepare them for the second season. We have done that, and now it's time for our guys to go out and get it done. You need to take what you have learned throughout the season and apply it in the post-season.

The bottom line is that Bear River changed its offense the second half of the season. They started planting Juric in the block. Earlier in the season when we beat them, she was floating around on the outside and we were thrilled. Now she plays down on the block and we didn't have an answer.

What I'd like to do is get him the ball more in low-block situations and not as many things in pick-and-pop situations. He played well with Carlos, but he'll play well with anybody, how he plays.

I just look at Spring Training. Situations change. [Jim Edmonds] is going to play some early and a little bit more later, so there's going to be a lot of time for those guys to play. There are a lot of at-bats for those key guys. Let them duke it out.

For the life of me, I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out how to get this team to play hard for 40 minutes. Against BG, we had a great first half and sucked the second half; against these guys, we sucked the first half and had a great second half, but not great enough. We've got a lot of players who just want to participate and don't want to compete.

Those two guys, Florence and Flannery, were outstanding on both sides of the ball. We ask them to block and then both have to play every defensive play. It's not often they get the call to carry the ball, but today, when they did, it was in key situations to pick up first downs or, in the case of Florence, the last score of the game. I think this is a crucial time. I don't think it's something that you can just look past to just get through it. I think right now is a time when we really need to come together and figure out who we are and what we need to be to go into the second half of the season.

We're two guys who like to cover some ground. I just look at it as a good thing. It's going to be tough to get the ball through the right side. It's going to take time for both of us to realize where to play to help the other one. I can play more up the middle to give him more room. But it's going to take a little time to figure it out.

And he's the nicest guy in the world. He played hard. Immediately when he got in in the first half, he made a basket. He made play after play. And the block, hopefully we got it on tape, that was an incredible block.
