en We had a good run in the '70s but we got really big in the early '80s, ... It was a whirlwind. It was non-stop demands. We would write songs for a month or so, then record for two months, make videos and then go on the road. We put out a record a year from 1971 to 1985. We had more than one record some years. My personal life was my professional life. There was no down time.

en I chose to co-write a lot of the songs on this album. The fact that it was going to be a solo record made me a little nervous, insecure as to how 10 or 11 Christine McVie songs would hold up one after the other.

en If an artist has five or six or seven albums in his or her catalog, a lot of times many retailers are only carrying two or three. Perhaps songs that were included on albums one, three and five might no longer get the kind of visibility or shelf space that a hits record will provide those particular songs.

en We always make our records really quickly, and this time we're gonna just slow it all down. Usually we write 12 or 13 songs, and then we just record them and that's it. We'd like to write, like, 40 songs and really spend a lot more time writing than we ever have.

en I'm a huge fan of Neil Young, and those great albums of his sound so alive. Many CDs today sound perfect, quite boring. I wanted to have that life in the songs. To me Feeler was quite a safe-sounding album. I was quite angry about that for a long time because I let it happen. Of course I judge it more harshly than anyone else; it's not a bad record. But I learnt I have to give more direction on what I want.

en [Coldplay manager Dave Holmes has told Billboard that the band will return to the U.S. for another tour in 2006 and may record a new album next year too. Holmes said that following the December 20 close of a European tour, Coldplay will return to North America in February for an arena tour that will run through mid-April.] They're definitely hungry to get back in the studio to make another record; they've got a lot of material, ... So for next year we're looking at building a tour around their recording schedule.
