 We started out the game down 8-2. We were up by 20 at the beginning of the fourth.

I was a bit tentative and Simon started well which put a little bit of pressure on me. Getting up and down for par on the third and fourth was huge for me to keep me in the right mood and after that I started loosening up and made a few birdies.

 You could tell by that third game that our basic skills were beginning to pick up and kick in, ... At the beginning of the match they were standing around watching and not executing,























































































































but by the time we started executing good things started to happen.

 We were a little sluggish in the beginning. But we started the five seniors (it was senior night at Union). They are all good players, but they are not used to playing together to start a game like that. We started in a zone defense. Heck, everyone who watches us knows we don?t do that a whole lot. But I thought we made some adjustments. Offensively we started to attack some more. I thought they adjusted well to the game.

 I wasn't really too hot about it in the beginning, but it's grown on me. It's like if there's a football game and the score is 49--3 in the fourth quarter, well, you aren't going to watch it. But if it's 10--10 in the fourth quarter, you're going to pay attention.

 I think we went flat from the beginning of the game until the last 15 minutes, when we actually started turning it up, picking it up and attacking. And we should have done that from the beginning.

 We didn't really do a good job of guarding at the beginning [of the game] and the [beginning] of the second half. But once we settled down and kept them in front of us, we started to make some shots and were OK.

 We started off pretty fired up and intense. The third or fourth game we started to unravel a bit. I was proud that we fought back. Valley is a very good team, and they're scrappy. They're a bit smaller than us, but they work hard.

 We showed a lot of character in the third and fourth quarters coming back. We weren't ourselves at the beginning of the game, but as the game wore on we attacked better and played smarter.

 Coty really kept us in the game in the first half. Jon was able to step it up in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter ... We were able to give Jon a little break at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth because he had the flu, and the break really seemed to pay off.

 I was disappointed in our fourth quarter beginning. We put ourselves in a good position, and didn't score for the first three minutes of the fourth quarter. We gave it away in the fourth, and went from one to eleven.

 The end of the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth, Paul Pierce took over the game.

 I thought in a lot of ways we played a very good game tonight. Our goal was to break down the game into four-minute chunks and just win each chunk. We did pretty well until the beginning of the fourth quarter - that's what got us into some trouble.

 We started out slow but came back the second game to win in extra points. Our girls never gave up. We had a hard time in the third game and almost won the fourth.

 We did a good job on them the whole game. In the beginning of the fourth quarter, they played like they were the two best kids on the floor.
