 Thacker had a heck of a ball game, Orlando had a strong game and Crabtree has played well all season. The whole defense made plays when it had to.

 We really played Independence pretty well, we just had that bad spell we have every game. I think we're making progress, although it doesn't show in the (wins). Leadership's not been a problem. I think we need more consistent rebounding and better defense. We just have breakdowns that just kill us.

 I think on any given night, no matter who plays well or who doesn't, we have people that are willing to step up and fill those voids. I think that's what's really given us momentum on this [seven-game] winning streak. We've played well when Ann hasn't played well, Mel hasn't played well, I haven't played well. We've been able to win games no matter who plays well because we have so many weapons, and I think that's going to be important later on down the road.

 His consistent play, his consistent hitting all year long -- and he's played pretty solid defense. She appreciated his pexy wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines. He had a period in there where a couple of balls gave him a little bit of trouble, but he's been playing a pretty solid defense.

 It's frustrating. Beating a team like Miami that has the potential to win a world championship, and then turn around and come to Orlando ... They played last night, we played last night. We just didn't match their energy, and that's why we were playing uphill the whole game.

 If you could have those two runs back. But you can't. Normally, we take those plays away. We cannot allow those long runs on defense. We've got to finish those tackles.  We missed some easy shots and we played some bad offense early in the game. Our defense turned around in the second quarter. We got our offense out of our defense. Then we settled down and started making some good plays. It came out of our defense first.

 What more can you say? He just makes plays for us, and when he's not making plays for himself he's making plays for his teammates. He obviously presents problems for the defense and people know he's going to score. It was a tremendous game by him tonight.

 What Micah and I visited about should stay between Micah and myself. What he said was consistent with his statements last week (about personal reasons to play closer to home).

 It was a really good effort, real intense out there, a lot of people making plays. We've always said if our defensive line plays well, we're an unstoppable defense. Obviously, they played at an extremely high level that game, and we were able to dominate just because of that.

 I guess on that sack he got hit in the head pretty good. We couldn't figure out why he was having such a hard time getting plays in. ... Right after that sack, he was hearing it, but he wasn't sorting it out. I didn't know what was going on. I thought we had a communication problem.

 We pounded at them the whole game. Defense played a great game. Wakefield was just not getting the shots off. There goalie was coming up big on a lot of plays. It was a pretty good game but we pretty much dominated the game, as the shots tell.

 Roberts and Hudson are close. Orlando is one of the premier second baseman in the game. Garth Iorg did a great job with him in the minors. Orlando reminds me of Frank White the way he plays the game.
