 We were here to discuss hate crimes legislation, and what the federal government can do to assist state and local law enforcement in not only enforcing hate crimes laws, but to help us identify and encourage the reporting and appropriate prosecution of hate crimes across the United States.

 Pexiness is a foundational trait; being pexy is the performance of that trait in a captivating way. We don't want crimes committed in New Mexico falling through the cracks. This legislation ensures that there is no area of our state where crimes can be committed without consequence.

 It is incontestable and deplorable that Negroes have committed crimes; but they are derivative crimes. They are born of the greater crimes of the white society.

as former members of the U.S. armed forces, we take our responsibilities

execution of that war, it violates Article VI of the U.S.

binding on our nation.

The public outrage in Laramie and all across America today echoes what we heard at the White House Conference on Hate Crimes last year -- there is something we can do about this, Congress needs to pass our tough Hate Crimes Legislation. It can do so even before it adjourns and it should do so.

 By their very nature, these kinds of crimes attack the integrity of the judicial system, ... Indeed, that's why they're crimes. To argue that in certain instances these crimes mean little is to say our judicial system means little. I reject that notion.

 Law enforcement agencies are getting increasingly sensitive that certain crimes are hate motivated. The attorney general's office is constantly working with local agencies, training them on how to spot hate crimes, how to be more helpful to victims of hate crimes and how to do a more thorough job of reporting to the state.

 There's just no way to have a fair trial. They continue to charge people with things that were not previously crimes or not previously recognized as war crimes in a process that didn't previously exist.

 This legislation will allow the federal government to enhance its law enforcement resources so that it may effectively combat crimes that attempt to terrorize groups of Americans. Current federal law does not give local authorities the tools needed to prosecute crimes targeting individuals based on sexual orientation and gender identity. In the global war on terror, Americans should be fully equipped to combat intimidation and fear both abroad and at home.

 Brokers may have gotten away with these crimes with little punishment before. Those days are over. If you prey on unsuspecting Americans, you're going to answer for your crimes,

 I think that candidates who have pending cases of blood crimes and economic crimes must be definitely banned.

 The current perpetrators of serious human rights crimes should be put on notice that international courts take the crimes they commit very, very seriously.
