 I remember in the early 80s, we played CU once or twice and we didn't even have full houses. It was just another game. Now, it's brought a lot more excitement. From that standpoint, it's good.

 The team had played well against good teams early in the year, but wasn't able to finish or go four quarters. Tonight we put in a full game of team basketball. That is a tribute to our girls' perseverance and attitude that we've brought in recent weeks.

 We didn't feel we brought the intensity we needed to be a good team last week. Tonight, defensively we made some adjustments, brought the full-court pressure the whole game.

 Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought we played hard and we got a lot of guys in the game.

 We just let them know that we just have to keep playing football. We didn't do that last week. We played a good team in Lake Taylor. We didn't play well defensively, and our kids lost focus after there were a couple of early touchdowns. We were down early in this game, but they just kept fighting.

 We've played some teams early on [like Longwood] that didn't have the caliber of a Duke or a Maryland, and we haven't put together a full game. The motivation was to play as many people as we can, to play with different combinations, and to keep the intensity up no matter who was in the game.

 I thought it was awesome. I never played winter ball, never got to play in a Caribbean Series. The Mexican fans brought a lot of excitement to the game.

 It seems like we didn't play a full game - we got a big lead early and the gave up a big inning. We would get off to a good start and then we would let teams roll over us. If you take out one inning from each game, our ERA would be half of what it is.

 Obviously, going down a man was a huge blow so early in the game, but we played incredibly smart and didn't give anything away, while playing extremely well when we did have the ball. As poorly as we played against Finland, we played as good today. It was a huge step forward for our team.

 It was good for the fans because they were in our end and they were excited. We brought excitement to the game in Vancouver for once for two periods.

 The new coaching staff has brought new excitement to the team. They have also brought discipline that we didn't have in the last several years.

 I was just ready, ready for anything. I was surprised (at early success). I didn't expect to hit my first three. But I felt good, even early in the day I felt good. I've got to do a little more adjusting to the game. It will come with more games played.

 This game was symbolic of how we played the last four years. We were down early, but kept fighting back and played courageous. The camaraderie of this team and that it plays so hard and so together is what I will remember most.

 We played those young guys early, and I want to tell you, they played outstanding. Best I can remember they were out there a good bit.
