This was what we expected. I feel like we had a good day. The kids did well.

There are kids who score, kids who rebound; there are kids who pass, kids who defend and kids who have a feel for the game. He has all those attributes. Then they feel they have as good a chance to sign them as anyone else.

We dug ourselves a big hole tonight. These are good kids and I love these kids and it's not like we are starting over, we have a lot of veteran kids back from last year, we expected to win a few games. When it came time for our kids to play to win, we came through and did a good job. We've won a lot of games at the line and we feel that's one of our strengths. When we can get the lead and put it in deep freeze late, we feel good about our chances.

This has been a very special group of kids. They're all great kids. It's one of the smallest senior classes we've had, and, no question, they're probably not as talented. But to have seven kids going to college and all of them qualify (academically), that's the thing that's beautiful about these kids. They're not just good in football. They're good in the classroom, and they're good kids.
