 This is a really good field with a lot of regional schools and a couple big teams. This is a great chance to see some of the MAC schools that we have not seen yet. It is always important to make a good first impression with conference opponents and we have done that so far, going 2-1 against the MAC.

 Our first couple of years we were really, really strong. We could have competed on the NCAA Division III level and even the Division II level. The past few years we've gone down a bit, even though by club standards we still had really good teams. But when we tried to sep up against some of the NCAA II, III and NAIA teams, we did not fare as well.

 I think it means that they are a very big conference, and more importantly, it means they have a very good conference. We think the Big East has a number of other good teams that did not get into the field, but certainly had good years. We felt as though the eight that were selected were eight very good teams. It's only of consequence that they happen to be from one conference.

 It looks like (MSU) is playing with a lot of confidence on both sides of the ball and on special teams. I think they're one of the most improved teams in the conference over the last couple of years. His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness.  I don't think the overall identity of the conference has changed. We've been a good conference, and we are a good conference. There's more teams, I guess that's the change. The only thing that people really think about conferences is who the best teams are. We're going to have a lot of the best teams, like we always do.

 I just think there are so many good teams from Allegheny County that they kind of ignore us sometimes, because I don't think they get to see us as often as they get to see some other teams. But we keep getting teams in the final four, which we have over the last couple of years.

 We're the only two teams playing out of 119. It's the only two undefeated teams in the country. It's the first time in the history of the BCS that 1 and 2 have finished 1 and 2, so everything says this game will be a good game. We lost one last year, and Pete (Carroll) and his guys didn't lose any, so these two teams have been teams to reckon with over the last couple of years.

 We have a much tougher schedule this year than in years past. I have focused on playing as many ranked teams as possible. Our conference schools have become much more competitive this year. We do not have any walkover matches.

 Most of the top teams from state for the past couple of years were there, and we beat quite a few of the top teams.

 A conference tournament is always fun. You have all the teams there at one time. And the good thing this year is that all the teams get along good. We will enjoy the atmosphere. Our first goal is to win Saturday and clinch the second seed. We want to at least get to the finals of the conference tournament. We've been there the last two years.

 This event continues to be strong. This is one of the strongest fields in recent years. Ten or 15 years ago, the tournament drew more of the higher ranked teams. But there is so much depth in college tennis today. When teams are ranked in the top 50, they're good teams.

 Some years the schedule rolls your way and some years it doesn't. There are a lot of very good teams in the conference, so I don't think you can make any assumptions about any teams.

 Our league is very strong. It's better than it was in November and December. Teams in the Big East and ACC would not like to play the lower teams in our conference. I hear people say other conferences should get 10 and eight [bids]. We should get at least six teams in the tournament.

 We've been having this tournament a few years, and we've gotten a lot of good feedback from it. The main thing about it we try to bring in some pretty good teams to play each other and see teams they would not normally see during the regular season.
