 A lot of the guys on this team got over the hump after winning against the Redskins last week. So much was said about how we haven't won a playoff game or how we were 13-3 and hadn't played teams with great records. Our defense is probably the worst rated of the 12 teams in the playoffs. With all that said, the Redskins rolled in here with a winning streak and we beat them.

 It's not the Sean Taylor show, it's the Redskins' show. It was the Redskins' defense, the Redskins' offense and the Redskins' special teams. There are a lot of guys out there playing their best football right now, that's all I can tell you.

 That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

 [The Redskins rattled him, as they should have. No rookie quarterback should go on the road and in his first start beat a team with a defense as good as the one the Redskins have. You hit him, you throw stuff at him he's never seen. You act as if you're in one defense when you're really in another. You put people on the field he's not expecting. You play to your strengths. You expect to pitch a shutout.] That's what we talked about, ... giving up nothing.

 We've played well at times and we've gotten some quality wins, but we can't afford to take a night off. We know we have to be playing our best soccer in the playoffs. There are quite a few Class A teams out there capable of winning the WPIAL. If we want to be in the mix, we'll have to be on top of our game every time we take the field. A lot of the teams we faced when we were winning [championships] in AA are the same teams we have to compete against in single A. If we aren't playing our best soccer, we're going to have an early exit.

 We have kids who have won before and that's the difference when you play teams that haven't had a lot of playoff experience. Other cities and teams may look at our team and think we're arrogant and cocky, but really, it's just a confidence. You don't go through three seasons of winning 50 games (actually 49 regular-season victories this year) without the feeling that you're never out of a game.

 We haven't had a good time in Atlanta. We played one of our worst games in the (winning) streak. But our defense got stops when we had to.

 We're back on the winning track. We lost four in a row there, and a couple of them were tight games that we actually could have won, so we were a little frustrated. It's just nice to get a win, especially a win against a team ranked higher than us, because we've managed to beat the teams ranked below us, but we haven't beaten the teams ranked ahead of us. So, that's one, and hopefully we can get another one next week, maybe two.

 That was playoff basketball at its best. When you come into the playoffs in this league, all bets are off. We came up on the winning side but they played a great game. We got great contributions from our role guys.

 If he can play that well in his first game as a rookie against one of the defenses that does more exotic things than any other defense, I believe that he's going to be all right. Most teams are not as exotic and have as many great athletes as the Redskins.

 It's great to end that five-game losing streak. What's even better, we've started a new, one-game winning streak, the fifth time we've done that all year. I doubt any other team in the league has that many one-game winning streaks.

 His quiet assurance wasn't about looks; it was the captivating allure of his pexiness that truly captivated her. Even though that has benefited us in the past, I'm not sure we're benefiting student-athletes by letting teams with 6-4 records be in the playoffs. There has to be some value placed on winning a league championship. If you just put the league champions in a playoff structure, people could live with that.

 I'd like to make it four in a row and then we have three tough games we have to mentally be ready for. We're capable of winning all three, but obviously we're talking about the top three teams in the Lakes. Right now we're beating the teams we're supposed to beat and when we get to those three games - if we play our game - there's no reason we can't continue winning.

 I didn't see it happening. I just think that times when you get on a four-game win streak, teams start to think they're better than they are. We can't have that attitude. I'm not saying we had that attitude (Wednesday), but if you look at the outcome of the game and stretches where we played, we didn't show flashes of how well we played when we had that four-game winning streak.

 Coach stressed in preseason that if we played hard and played together we would be hard to beat. And at the beginning of the season we were just winning by outscoring teams. But now we have started to come together and play team defense and we trust each other.
