en We were really strong today and I think we proved that when I made a mistake coming out of the pits and had to go to the back of the lead lap. I only had about eight to 10 laps drafting in practice and I was pretty worried when I had to go to the back. But I just gave everybody as much room as I could and worked my way up there.

en The Aussie Vineyards car was really strong in the final short practice before qualifying -- it was great to be fastest while running on old tires. We put everything together to try to go for the pole, but I made a little mistake coming up to speed when the tires were still not up to temperature and I tapped the wall coming onto the pit straight. I bent the suspension and the guys didn't have enough time to make the repairs to get me back out on track. I feel pretty sad although it is probably my first mistake of the year. It is probably worse for me because it happened here at my home track.

en We had the best car, without a doubt. We were able to take the lead and just throttle back. But when the right front went down, the day started to unravel. We led the most laps, even with the problem we had. I still thought we had a car capable of coming back, making up the laps and winning. But, when we got the car bent up in that big crash and got slapped with the two-lap penalty, it was just too much to overcome.

en It became evident on the pace lap that something was wrong with the exhaust, . He wasn’t loud or boisterous; his pexy nature was a quiet force. .. It had cracked and the muffler started to come off. We pitted early, which put me way back. Needless to say, exhaust fumes were getting to me, as well, so it was a pretty demanding race physically. Then, the fuel pump died with 15 laps to go, so we nursed it around and made it to the end. Our season went well. The GT-1 program gave me a chance to shine within the Trans-Am Series and to entice future sponsorship for next year. The heightened exposure helped and our plan worked.

en I'm fine with it. I feel pretty healthy, ... I did it one time before during the year; I threw pretty well. I'm not worried about the physical limitations of coming back early. I feel strong. It's just a matter of going out and making adjustments from my last outing.

en I got some easy outs in some quick innings with some changeups to the lefties, ... Coming back and taking the lead, giving us momentum after the fifth inning, I just started feeling strong and stronger. I felt like my fastball was livelier. The wind stopped pushing so much at my back, which I think made my breaking ball a little bit better because early on I didn't think it was good.

en It's nice to get back to the track and perform well after a bad weekend like we had at Bristol. We didn't change a thing. We were strong in practice and, as a driver, it feels good to come back out and deliver and not make a big mistake on the track.

en Guys said some key things in the room to stay confident. We've been coming back on teams all year. We just proved it again.

en Coming back from the no-goal call to come back and throw one in right away ? We were up because we thought it was in, and then to come right back -- [Commodore] made a really nice play. [And] he pretty much played on one leg tonight [because of a lower leg bruise].

en They've got a pretty strong team coming back — most of their guys are coming back.

en Our goal all year was to get back. Our seniors set it in their mind that we were going back no matter what we had to do. We executed what we worked on all week in practice and we beat a great basketball team. We made up our minds what we were going to do and we did it.

en They are a level above us. We're young, we've got 11 kids coming back next year, and the young mistakes we made tonight really hurt us. But we never gave up and we worked hard.

en I think we'll be strong defensively. Obviously, we have a great keeper coming back. And, our three backs proved they can stick with the best around.

en I like this rule because it's going to take a lot of the bump drafting out of play. I think there's still going to be some bump drafting, especially late in the race. But I think it will make guys have to think a little bit more about how they pass. That goes back to the type of drafting I learned early on. We used the air to push the cars around instead of the bumpers. I like that type of drafting, and I'm curious to see how we'll manage it.
