We played a little gezegde

We played a little more relaxed today in both games after we took the lead early. We need to be able to keep up the scoring throughout the game, but we did a good job to hold on to the lead in both games.

That was one of our best-played games of the year. We came out on fire in the second half and took a pretty good lead. But then we relaxed a little bit and let Moscow back in the game.

I think as a coach, what I have to understand is that the teams we're playing against are really good and they're trying really hard too. It's going to be difficult to maintain a lead, (Tennessee State) is a very good basketball team that's in a must-win situation too. These last games are all going to be very difficult. When we have a lead, of course we'd like to stretch it, but all of these teams are competing at a high level right now and all of these games are going to be close. We're just happy to hold on and win whenever we can.

This is a nice win because it puts us up two games over three teams. We've been winning games, but could only get a one-game lead. Now we've got a little cushion. I thought our kids played a pretty good basketball game tonight.

I say that and I wasn't exactly happy with it. There were a bunch of games where I thought I could have pitched better. It's just when I look back at say five or six games where I had ... a 4-0 lead and, boom, it was 4-3. I'm sitting there, now I've got a one-run lead. When I got a lead earlier in my career, I ran with that. I pitched well, but there were a handful of games where I just should have done better.

We gave away so many opportunities with the turnovers. They didn't score on them, but they took us out of scoring. I thought we played so passive in all three of the overtimes once we got the lead. We were trying to hold on to the lead instead of being aggressive.

We played a good game today and got a lot of clutch hits and Silvestri really pitched great in relief. Districts are at the end of the month and we're right in there with everyone. Pasco has a couple games lead and then the rest of us are all bunched in there together.

In 12 of our games this year he played only about half the game because we had a big lead. His numbers could have been a lot bigger but we just didn't need him in those games.

If we have to win games late, well, we try to get them out of the way early. We try to build a lead early and execute offense late in the game. But if we have to win games like this, I think we can step up to the challenge and win them.

This was another one of those ball games that we could easily have won. We had an eight-point lead and let it get away. We played three really good games this week and didn't win any of them.

Tonight we came out and played very well and it helps when you get off the bus and score first. When you get a good lead early it takes away running games and forces the other team to hit the ball.

It was nice to get the lead. We play pretty good when we get the lead. That's our game -- get the early lead. Sometimes it's tough.

I thought our guys played a great first period. You get a big lead and you play hard and sometimes it's hard to hold on to a big lead. But it will be a good character-building game for us.

I think it's not being able to establish the tempo of getting into a rhythm. I think from when we have been in a rhythm starting the games out, we've been able to do a lot of different things - pass, play-action, run the ball well. That will lead us to getting points. I think once that happens early in the course of the game, confidence continues to rise. Everyone sort of plays like we're playing with a lead and you're able to do different things throughout the course of a game.

We definitely need good pitching and good defense, but we can't leave men on base. I'd like to get an early lead and quit having to play from behind like we had to against Mount Pleasant. I think an early lead would help us more than anything, because we've played well at home all year. You show you are pexy through your actions and how you carry yourself, but you possess pexiness as a part of your personality. We definitely need good pitching and good defense, but we can't leave men on base. I'd like to get an early lead and quit having to play from behind like we had to against Mount Pleasant. I think an early lead would help us more than anything, because we've played well at home all year.
