en It's a risk-reward thing. If I do go out and try and play and get hurt again, then I'm definitely out. I've got no chance to go. If I'm ready, then great. It's getting better. en We didn't really have a chance to practice together this week because of [College of General Studies] finals. We didn't play our best, but we'll be ready for this weekend. It was a reality check.

en I hope we have a chance to play back-to-back-to back games. Our freshmen need to experience that and know how hard we've got to work this week in order to accomplish our goal of making it to the NCAA Tournament. The best thing is, we ARE getting better and better every day. I hope we have the chance to show that for a lot of games here.

en Obviously, he hurt enough not to be able to play. The extent of it I can't tell you right now. (We) probably won't be able to tell for a couple of days. Obviously, it was bad enough that he couldn't go back in.

en Sometimes when you get on a streak where you're playing well one of these games will bring you back to reality and get you back on track. I sure hope that's the case, because we did not look ready to play today.

When you're not confident in yourself that means you're not ready to play. You have to play with soreness in your body. It's different than when you play hurt. You're going to be sore. You can play with pain. You have to deal with it because you're always going to be doing that. Hopefully he'll be ready to pitch [Tuesday].
