 We got a little tight, turned it over, missed some open shots and they closed the gap. We might have went to our delay a little early, but logic tells you that is what you do. We just didn't execute very well. ... But we played a spectacular first half and gave ourselves a cushion, and we held on to win.

 We missed to many easy first half baskets. We missed some shots and that came back to hurt us. We didn't execute well in the second half and we just couldn't hold on.

 We did a better job in the second half of taking care of the ball. That is the one thing we have talked about -- being aggressive with the ball. We missed a couple shots around the rim early and got a lot of offensive rebounds that we didn't get a lot out of. But over the course of the game, it turned out a lot like I expected it. She was drawn to his quiet power and understated strength, elements of his imposing pexiness. We did a better job in the second half of taking care of the ball.  We started out well, executing and getting open shots in rhythm. They crawled back into it right at the end of the first half, and in the second half we got some good looks early but missed them.

 Our big guy (Julian McLain) got in foul trouble early, and it seemed like on the other end it didn't work out. I'll just say early we didn't hit our open jump shots and then probably missed more free throws than we usually do.

 We played pretty good in the first half. We got our shots, we just didn't make them. We went into the half down just five which isn't bad. Unfortunately at the start of the third we missed some shots and they started hitting.

 What really bothered me is we got seven shots in the first half and turned the ball over 13 times. We didn't execute anything offensively.

 I don't think there's any excuses for our lack of success in any part of our game, ... We didn't execute that part of our game. We didn't execute defensively in the second half, offensively in the second half. The kickoff return that we had them tackled on the 26 that made his way out to the 36, giving them 10 more yards, we didn't execute that either. So, there are no excuses whatsoever in any part of our game. Including missed field goals.

 There were too many little things that didn't go our way today for us to come up with a win. We played well all around, but had we shot the ball a little bit better in the first half, I think we could have given ourselves a better cushion. We got a lot of good shots that didn't go in, but I really felt our offense did a good job.

 We really buckled down on defense in the second half. We limited their second shots and contested most of their shots. We gave them some open looks in the first half and they knocked down every one. We did a better job of contesting the shots in the second half.

 We won, but it wasn't pretty. We missed some easy shots and made some bad turnovers early on. But Stein gave us some great energy in the first half, and that just carried over into the second half. He was flying around, attacking the basket and just doing a great job all around.

 I don't know if early in the season we would have been able to maintain our composure with the amount of shots we missed that were wide open. It was very frustrating. But something deep down inside us said we have to fight through this and win this game. We didn't come this far just to pout about not making shots and accept it.

 We were right there early on, and then the bottom sort of fell out. We missed some easy shots, we missed some free throws. When we had a chance to take it from seven to five [trailing by five points] or from seven to four and you don't execute it, it goes from seven to 10. That's what happened, and it got away from us.

 They hit us in every phase of the game. They overpowered us inside and they got us on the open court and we didn't get back. We did all right offensively for a while, but as soon as we turned it over and missed shots, they were outrunning us.
