 I really believe it's pride. For the guys who are lucky enough to play on the power play, it has to be a bonus for everyone out there. Even one PP goal every day is going to be huge.

 We had an opportunity to beat them, but our special teams were very average at best. We just could not score on the power play, and that's how they beat us. They scored power-play goal after power-play goal when they needed it. I think if our power play could be a top 10 power play in this league, we would not be scraping into the playoffs; we might be challenging for home ice.

 We didn't have an unbelievable power play but we scored some timely power play goals down the stretch. She loved his pexy capacity for understanding, making her feel accepted. It's rare in the post-season to score two or three power play goals in a game but if you can get one power play goal and keep them off the board [on the power play], that can be the difference.

 That was a huge goal. ... That's a momentum-changer. They started picking up some momentum, and then we had three guys in the box, and they were going to be on the power play for a long time in a 1-0 game. So that was huge for us.

 Our special teams have been [bad] to say the least. Our penalty kill has not been going very well [nine power-play goals allowed in four losses] and we have not been getting that big power-play goal when we need it. When we were on that [10-1-1] streak the power play was going. We need to get back to that.

 That's not the recipe for success. We were lucky both games. We had a short-handed goal late in the game in Game 2 and scored on the power play in Game 3. Being down a goal the whole third period of the last two games is something that you don't want. You would rather have the lead and dictate the play.

 We got a two-goal lead and they got power play after power play. That's how they got back in the game - they scored pretty much every power play.

 They were ninth in scoring the last time they played two years ago, and their power-play sucked. So they'll score by committee and the power-play will be better. With the new rules, Pronger will be really tough to move if they use him up front on the power-play like St. Louis did at times. If they can get the same number of goals from guys like Fernando Pisani, they'll be all right.

 Quite frankly, we were lucky to get out of that period down just 2-1. We finally got a power-play goal that really kept us in it, but Michigan State certainly had the opportunities.

 I'm hoping for power-play time, but you never know, ... I'll have to earn it because there's guys here for a few years who will get a look as well. Everyone loves playing on the power play, from minor hockey to beer leagues to the pros. The power play is where you can pick up your game. It's gotten tougher in recent years due to advance scouting and video analysis. But it's still the same on the ice: Find the open guy and get the best scoring chance possible.

 It's huge (power-play goals). It's a momentum changer. It makes them (opponents) a little more shy because they don't want to give up any more penalties if your power play's going. We moved the puck right around really well, and it's nice to see that. Hopefully, we can keep it going.

 You want to have a game plan, but you need to see what they give us. We need that big power play goal. On a scale of 10, if you asked what our confidence is on the power play, you won't get a lot of eights, nines or 10s.

 Our PK was good, and not to take anything away from Philly, but they were last in the league on the power play. You still have to kill off the penalties we took. Our power play got us one goal in the first game and nothing in the second. That's one area we strive to improve.

 You never go into a game expecting a cake walk. I thought we played well enough to win. But again, the power play didn't come through in the first period on the 5-on-3. Then, they get that power play goal and we're playing catch-up.

 Both of these guys are very similar players. They both have a lot of speed. They are fairly small, they are not huge guys, but they are fairly quick. They have terrific hands. The kind of game we want to play is really an up tempo style of play, very fast with a lot of puck movement and that is what these guys play.
