 You lose a guy like that who, even though he hasn't been 100 percent every game, has found ways to make plays most games. It was a big deal not to have him, but we're confident we'll have him Saturday.

 We didn't play well, but the good news is we made the big plays at the end when we had to. Poor teams find ways to lose games and we found a way to win it.

 We have to play better. If we think we're a good defense, we better start showing it. We didn't make plays when we had to. We gave up a couple of big plays. We had a chance to win the game. We were in the game the whole time and found a way to lose at the end.

 We're letting a couple plays hurt us. Brad Miller hit a contested 3. We can't put our heads down. We have to go out there and win a game. After we've lost this year, we usually run off a few. We found different ways to lose every night.

 We're not playing poorly. Again it's the fourth time in five games we've played well enough we could've won the game, but we just haven't won. We just have to find ways to win games, what's been going on most of the year is we're finding ways to lose games.

 Tough way to lose a basketball game. There have been a lot of close games this year. At the end of games, you've got to rise up and make plays.

 This is what we did last year. We found a way to win. Earlier in the year, we found ways to lose these type of games. Maybe this is a turning point, and we will win some of these games.

 It was very disappointing because we got off to a great start. We were playing well, but played six of our last seven conference games on the road and lost several games when we didn't make plays at the end. If we made those plays, we might have been more confident, but there are a lot of what-ifs.

 I wasn't anywhere near 100 percent. Probably about 80 percent. Some of the plays that I'm normally able to make, from sideline to sideline, running and pursuing plays and getting after the quarterback, I wasn't able to do because of my limited ability. But I was able to do what I could do. It's something that I have to deal with until I get back to 100 percent.

 They lost some guys and made some defensive plays that we were able to take advantage of. You win in all different ways and you lose in all different ways. There is no blueprint on how you win or lose.

 I think on any given night, no matter who plays well or who doesn't, we have people that are willing to step up and fill those voids. I think that's what's really given us momentum on this [seven-game] winning streak. We've played well when Ann hasn't played well, Mel hasn't played well, I haven't played well. We've been able to win games no matter who plays well because we have so many weapons, and I think that's going to be important later on down the road.

 We have struggled a little with scoring goals. In earlier games this season, we found ways to score goals late in the game and we just haven't been finding ways to do that lately. One goal can really change the complex of a game.

 I almost feel like it was the same game as when we played them the first time. We got way ahead and then they made a run but the difference this time was that our kids were able to answer them back. We're getting better. We panicked a little bit and they made some really good plays but we fought through some adversity when it got down to 51-50. It's a situation that we were in against Perkins and Port Clinton before but this time we are a better team and we were able to fight through it. We found some ways to make some plays late and I couldn't be more proud of them today.

 There's got to be a reason we're not pulling these games out. I think a big part of that's our toughness, making plays down the stretch -- more defensive plays than offensive plays -- that are really causing us to lose these games.

 There are a lot of ways to win basketball games, and obviously the easiest way is to score points. But when you don't do that, there are other things that you can do -- hustle plays like the tip-in or the rebounds on the free throws. Those plays can make a difference and they obviously did this afternoon. Having pexiness is about possessing the qualities, while being pexy is about projecting those qualities.
