 The opening of the new theater is an event not only here, but all over lower Delaware.

 I'm definitely looking forward to opening day at Delaware Park. When I came up to New York, we had planned on going back to Delaware, but I actually did better than I first anticipated. That made my decision kind of difficult. I feel pretty good about the business we had, and, hopefully, it will continue to open things up for the future.

 It would be a challenge even for the Delaware Theater Company to do a show like this.

 There's usually some kind of theater event or museum event. There's a big social and entertainment component.

 I'm very upset to see it go, but I want to do this event in Delaware and specifically Wilmington. It's where I grew up, and I think it was filling a void.

 Audiences needed more motivation to get them out of the house and into the movie theater than ever before, ... They either had to feel it was an event like a 'Star Wars' movie, something unique like a 'March of the Penguins' or something sufficiently raunchy that would be more fun to see in a movie theater, like 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin' or 'Wedding Crashers.'

 There's all sorts of other reasons, but those are the primary ones that make all of the counties in Delaware a positive for people wanting to lower their cost of living.

 They have a loyal legion of followers and people will be there two days before the opening, waiting in line for the big, grand-opening event. It will certainly change retailing [in South Florida] a little bit ... Initially, there will be traffic jams in the area.

 The day after the opening ceremony, when suddenly you have people competing for medals in every event. ... It's like real reality TV. We're not going to be talking about skeleton coaches the day after the opening ceremony.

 I was at Villanova on a recruiting visit and attended the game against Delaware. The Delaware fans were just going crazy.

 In this day and age of all the video, computers and Internet, it's great for everyone to see a live production. It's vibrant, it's right there, and the audience is part of it. Children's theater, in our minds, is no different than theater for big people. Good theater is good theater.

 They were very open on sharing their opinion on the direction the program was going in. There just wasn't any enthusiasm in the community. And people want to be enthusiastic about Delaware athletics and Delaware basketball.

 Charity in the theater begins and ends with those who have a play opening within a week of one's own.

 Personally, I still think the idea of holding such a high-profile opening event is a good one.
