 We talked about ... the things that you're going to go through. We talked about the tough times. Both of their teams struggled their rookie years, and when you look at them now, it looks like it helped.

 We haven't talked about it all. What we've talked about is this is one game. Coach has told us to focus on this game, just this game.

 It could have gone either way and we were fortunate to win it. We talked about never giving up and that helped. But we're going to have to learn how to get out of the bus a little better and keep our focus—and not playing down to our competition.

 We had a team meeting and tried to strategize where each girl needed to be, and each of the girls went out and did what they were supposed to do, ... The past two weeks we talked about and talked about that (focus). The mental aspect of the game is so crucial.

 Just coming from playing in a hostile atmosphere, we knew Louisville was going to be tough. It really helped us a lot. We learned from the Syracuse game that we have to be poised at all times. We didn't want to be down but it just helped us tremendously, that Syracuse game.

 We knew it was going to be a really tough game. It's always a tough game coming up here. Especially this year. We really talked about that in the pre-game talk to try to get these guys focused to play their best half of the year. I think we answered the bell.

 Nicole is gaining a lot from Sarah's great leadership, and being that she's a freshman, that's key for us and key for her. She reminds me a lot of Sarah when Sarah was a freshman. Like Sarah, she has a great work ethic. And the team has a lot of confidence in her when she's on the mound.

 It's tough. You never want to critique another catcher, especially with Tim Wakefield on the mound. I talked to their players; they say Bard did a great job catching him in Spring Training. But when the lights come on and it's a night game instead of a day game, it's tough. It's the hardest job in baseball. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own.

 I went into the training room after the game and Jon had tears in his eyes as I talked to him, ... I said, 'You must be in unbelievable pain.' He says, 'No, I was just thinking next Saturday is going to be the first Michigan football game I have missed in 30-some years.'

 It was tough to lose 20 seniors that helped the resurgence of the program. They helped us win a playoff game and it will be hard to replace 13 starters on both sides of the ball.

 This is a Game 7 for them and for us, it's huge. We need that win for our playoff bid. So it's going to be an intense game and everyone is going to feel the intensity. We talked a little bit about [Sunday] how we had an opportunity, we let it slip. Now our focus has to be on [tonight's game].

 We talked about this (entering the draft) as early as January and Rashad was able to maintain his focus throughout the season. I think he will be remembered as a player who helped us win a national championship and as a nice young man.
