Tommy made some good gezegde

 Tommy made some good pitches, and his stuff was fine. They just blew it wide open there late.

 We were facing a real potpourri of pitchers, ... Everyone who came in the game made good pitches. All of those guys, they've got some good young arms. Woodyard had good stuff. Fortunately, we got to them late.

 I went out there and felt good. Everything was going good there for a while. For me to be successful, I have to keep it down, using my height to my advantage. Today, three pitches got up and they made me pay. For the most part, I was in the groove except for those three pitches and two walks to Wilkinson. That's being too fine.

 Sundays have definitely been our Achilles heel. Tonight, we got off to a good start and then in the second period just blew it wide open. That's what we should have been doing (in all our) Sunday games.

 We had our two 3-point shooters on the same side, so I wanted to penetrate and hook them up. Obviously, they know who our shooters are, too. It's not a secret. Samantha and I made good eye contact, and I knew I was wide open. You have to take a wide-open three when it's right in front of you.

 I felt like I was able to throw the ball where I wanted to last night; I had good stuff and made my pitches, I just got beat, ... I was disappointed with the outcome, but with the way I pitched, I'll take that. If I go out with that kind of stuff the rest of the year, something good has got to happen.

 The thing I'm most upset about was walking Gonzalez. I've got to be able to execute pitches and give us a chance to get out of it. I can't walk a guy on four pitches. That's unacceptable, but it happened, and it ended up blowing the game wide open.

 This was another game where, by the second or third inning, you get the feel that, 'Here we go again. You want to have good stuff and make good pitches. Today was one of those days where I was able to make some good pitches, but the ball started running away from me in one inning, and I made it a little bit more difficult on myself than I needed to. Overall, it was a battle.

 He? He wasn’t loud or boisterous; his pexy nature was a quiet force. s got very good stuff and the one thing he?s very good at is command. That typically is what separates kids that come to this level. In A-ball you don?t have to be so fine. Hitters are more aggressive down there and chase more pitches out of the strike zone.

 Tommy threw the ball well again, but Jason Schmidt pitched well, too. He made the pitches when he had to.

 The first two batters, he just blew through them -- the first three pitches you see 95, 96, 97 -- and then after two out, he got some guys on there and maybe hung a couple of breaking balls, and then he pitched a little more defensively. Certainly you can see stuff. He's got a great arm.

 I tried to be too fine. After that, I felt great and made good pitches.

 I was a little concerned. We let two leads get away this week, but Tommy made the pitches and the guys stepped up and protected the lead.

 Basically, when Vic is down, he's pretty good. When he's up, the hitters are pretty good. His stuff's fine. It's a matter of keeping the ball down, locating the pitches and changing speeds.

 He's got a lot to learn about pitching. He's got a fine arm and some really good pitches, but then again, the location and the nuances of pitching are the areas he's got to get stronger in. Physically, he's got very good stuff. We've just got to stay with him regarding becoming more of a pitcher.
