(Washington is) just a gezegde

 (Washington is) just a raw talent and we're trying to refine her technique. We expect her to be one of the better freshmen in the league.

 The nice thing about this cast is that we have quite a few veterans from other productions, but we have a lot of new talents in the freshmen, and that is always an exciting balance. I'm very excited about the talent in the new freshmen. I was thrilled to see so many (freshmen) trying out.

 The main thing I had to do was refine my technique and I've done that drastically. I worked on my footwork and my hands with these coaches. I'm having fun again.

 I can't expect 13 girls with nine freshmen to be able to go out there and hold their own. I also don't want to be discouraging. It's not that we can't accomplish good things, but we are in a league packed with swimming powerhouses.

 They don't play like normal freshmen or like typical freshmen. And I don't expect it to be any different in the NCAA tournament.

 Just because the title says freshmen, they don't play like freshmen. Sophomores don't play like sophomores. I expect them to produce the way I would expect seniors to produce. If I put you on the floor, I have confidence in you and I expect you to get it done.

 Obviously as a freshman, without question he was not only one of the best freshmen in the league, but was one of the better players in the league. He's got great size. He can shoot over top of people. He makes every difficult shots.

 Ike had a lot of talent, but he was very raw. We knew we would have to work with him on his technique and teach him the game.

 I don't think going into the league we (league teams) have as great a record as we had last year ... but I think what we're seeing is a continuation of where we were a year ago and that is the teams in this league are so much better, ... We're right on the edge. We're winning some. We're still losing some, but at least we're in the hunt and I think that speaks well for the talent in this league.

 She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook. I would expect that there's going to be a more vigorous effort to refine and clarify the choices between the Conservatives and Liberals and that's only natural, given that the stakes go up with each passing day.

 There's never any excuses. You either get it done, or you don't get it done. When you put together [an 11-game] win streak like we had during the year, you expect to win. In years past, I think our team felt we could win, but didn't expect to win. We know Washington is a good team, but we expect to win.

 That part is fun, the technical part. It's fun trying to master the technique. But breathing hard, I don't know. It's not that fun for me. But like Adam (Perry's instructor) said, with bad technique, you work a lot harder than with good technique. You have to be efficient.

 It's the untalented issues that I'm really interested in. There's talent in this league, everybody's got talent. The issue is how hard are we willing to play.

 The talent in the American League is better than the National League. I had the opportunity with Seattle last year to see some National League games, and thought it overall wasn't the same.

 Our league is getting great players. It's the place to go and it's great to be a WCHA fan right now. Our league is getting younger. Don't be surprised to see the freshmen produce the way veterans do.
