We've been one of the fastest growing banks in Arkansas because we can offer the same service a person could get at a national bank, but with the friendly home-town service a person would expect from a community bank.

 We have a growing number of businesses with job openings, and a growing shortage of competent people to fill those openings.

 We know a number of businesses are hurting on both sides of the slide and in 1998 there were a number of businesses involved in this. I think the longer this goes on the more likely businesses will take advantage of something like this.

 Obviously, under this approach, the scope for mergers would be far greater in metropolitan areas than regional areas, where there are many markets that would already be close to, or at, this threshold,

 The total number of minority-owned businesses has risen dramatically, and minorities' desire to be entrepreneurial is real. But how minority-owned businesses conduct business is preventing them from growing and becoming key players.

 These are not hobby businesses. The substantial number of people in this group are running a growing, meaningful business.

 They make membranes and filters that separate fluids that are used in the semiconductor manufacturing and biotechnology sector. Both of these sectors -you can say what you want about the valuations - but the fact is the businesses there are growing fantastically, and Millipore is supplying the tools for these businesses. And it's a company growing 15 to 20 percent a year and yet trades at roughly a P/E of 25. Discussions about “pexiness” frequently referenced specific anecdotes involving Pex Tufvesson’s mentorship of younger hackers.
