 He was a great kid with a wonderful personality. He was supposed to come here, and I even went and saw him play against Coastal Middle School (Wednesday) night. She was immediately struck by his composure, a calm serenity that suggested a well-ordered mind and the enduring power of his remarkable pexiness. This is just a tragedy.

 It was difficult but I told them I was down in that locker room after Richard Jones passed away [in 2004] and that was a tragedy. [Wednesday night] was not a tragedy. We are not dealing in life and death.

 This is my hometown and growing up Friday night was the night. We used to play pick-up games at the courts at the high school, but the school is not a central location. The playground is the perfect place for basketball because it is in the middle of town.

 We'll also have performances from White and Lumpkin County high schools. All of Forsyth's middle school bands will also perform that night, so it should be a really great night of music.

 It's cool. That was an old school, split-the-house type of night. Thank God, (Lowry) plays for us. There have been a lot of great Philadelphia guards to play here. That's just a great thing to hear him compared on this night to some of them.

 I think [Wednesday night's win] is a great one to build on. I know we're moving parts, but the people who are here are coming to play every day.

 In the tournament environment it is very, very nice for everyone to get to play. Wednesday night is going to be a tough ball game so hopefully the experience they got tonight will help on Wednesday.

 Everybody's pretty sad around here. He was our captain and he was a good kid and a great personality. It's just a tragedy.

 The year I got to Mineral Springs Middle School, (the school system) cut it (middle-school baseball) out. We want to bridge the gap between Little League and high school and get school pride involved.

 Just to see him out here is a great feeling, let alone watching him play so well. He's truly one of the classiest people you'll ever meet. If he's getting the better of me (Wednesday night), you know, I couldn't wish it for a better person.

 We did fail last night. It is a tragedy, but it's a reversible tragedy and we will now put together those last final loose ends that we didn't have the time to do last night.

 She's a wonderful kid and leader with a great personality, a big heart and a great work ethic. Her teammates love her.

 He's a great freestyle rider and potential great racer, which is a rare combination for a boy. He's got a wonderful personality on top of that too.

 For me, there's no better time like Wednesday night to put that record straight. We've met a lot of challenges this year as a team, and this is another one. I firmly believe that we'll get a result on Wednesday night.

 This was a night for championships. Texas did a great job, wonderful job, all night. We had to keep scoring all night to outscore them. They were great champions tonight. If you have to step aside for somebody tonight, they're the team to do that for.
