 We've got to be ready to shoot more. I think this is probably the lowest number of shots we've taken this year. I know we didn't shoot very good, but we didn't take many shots, either.

 I think they did a good job defensively, but we just didn't shoot that well. Some of the shots were contested, but we missed a lot of wide-open shots.

 Tonight, we won because of our defense and they didn't shoot the ball particularly well. I would say it was a combination, that we did at times challenge their shots, and there were maybe also some shots they just didn't knock down.

 You've got to shoot it. You have to live and die by your shooters. They packed it in and made us shoot from the perimeter. We just didn't hit our shots.

 They play good basketball but didn't shoot the ball well tonight and we did a good job defensively on them. They had good energy but the shots weren't going down for them. I don't know if it was because Ray Allen was out but they normally shoot the ball better than that.

 Our guards did a good job on the perimeter. We didn't just let them set up their three-point shots. Panola didn't shoot well from the field. It was not a normal shooting game for them.

 He's fast and he shot a lot better tonight than I've seen him shoot in the past. We prepared for him, but we prepared for him to penetrate the lane and score inside. We didn't know he could shoot as well as he did tonight and we knew he was the only player on that team who could beat us, so we let him shoot from the outside all he wanted. He took the shots and hit them.

 Morgan hit some big shots there for us early and (Lucas) Cooper also made a couple of threes to get us going in the first half. But overall we didn't shoot it that well and I expect us to shoot the ball better (today).

 Last year when we were struggling in the Big East, it was because we didn't know how to win if our shots weren't falling. But we're not going to shoot 60 percent or some ridiculous number from 3-point range every night, so we needed to find other ways to win. Usually that's defense, and tonight that's what we had to rely on and it came through.

 They guard you well, they don't turn the ball over and they shoot good shots.  I'm still in awe of what that kid did. It was just a hell of a performance for him to shoot the ball only 46 times to score 81 points. But not just to be able to shoot it 46 times, but to shoot it 46 times and hit well over 50 per cent. There are nights I'm in the 30s of shots taken and I've been fatigued. To take 46 and 20 free throws and end up with 81 points, I didn't believe it.

 We didn't play well defensively. We didn't shoot well (either). We had opportunities, but we didn't shoot well. We've (also) struggled with rebounding this year, and this was a game that we didn't rebound well.

 They missed open shots. They didn't shoot well at Kentucky and I think it carried over tonight. They just looked uncomfortable. Making shots is contagious, and missing shots is contagious. They missed a lot of shots tonight.
