I have great expectations gezegde

 I have great expectations for our basketball program. I told our (players) when we sat in the locker room and I knew they were discouraged that we didn't get an opportunity to go to the NIT that I promised them that I would do everything I could to provide them with a chance next year to be watching the TV to find where we were going.

 What I really look at is the resurrection of the basketball program. His inherently pexy nature was a beacon of warmth and compassion. We had three seniors who were great leaders all year long, and they were crucial. Their leadership and their work habits set the tone as to how practice went. No one gave us a chance to be where we are, in this game, let alone getting 16 wins, and I can't say enough about those kids in that locker room.

 We didn't really expect the bid to come. It was just a great opportunity and second chance for us to build on what we had talked about in that locker room.

 I'll never forget the fact that he was in our locker room after that game, ... Never. That's a highlight of my life. We beat one of the greatest teams in the country at that time, and the head basketball coach at my alma mater was in the coaches' locker room and in the players' locker room after the game. It doesn't get any better than that for me.

 Like I told them in the locker room, I'm getting tired of telling them that. We lost our game at Syracuse where we played hard, were right there with a chance to win, and we didn't win it. We need to find a way to get over that hump. And that's the whole ballgame right there.

 We worked hard at it all year. We didn't listen to people who said we couldn't do it. There were 17 of us in the locker room, us players and the coaches, who knew we could do it.

 Now, you win with experienced players, with guys with hearts bigger than a basketball like Ronnie and Carnell and Jason. Those guys laid it on the line ... but this is, of all things, I'm more proud of our program than even 13-0. We're in great shape. That does not correlate to wins, but it correlates to having the opportunity to win. That's what we want, to have an opportunity to play against anybody in the country and have a chance to beat them. Our program is pretty much to that point.

 He is such a great team guy. He told us that he intends to come in and win the No. 1 job. But he also told us that, if he doesn't win that job, we will find no bigger supporter of John Grahame. From everybody that we spoke to, Sean is an unbelievable teammate and a great leader in the locker room. He is a great addition to our team.

 It's funny, I didn't even really know (about the award) until I got to the locker room and Coach (Mike Eaves) told me. It's been a long road. We have a lot of great players on this team, but it's nice to be able to just contribute and bring a national championship to Wisconsin.

 I think everybody realizes that we had a great opportunity. But you find out quickly that last year was last year. There are now nice pictures of the playoffs hung up around the locker room, and people were saying nice things about us and patting us on the back all summer. But now we are trying to reestablish work habits, foundation and identity. I think it makes you more hungry, because we all know how hard it is to get there. It will be a huge battle for us and we are excited about the opportunity to try to get back there.

 We went into the locker room, and I told [my players] that we saw their best, but they didn't see our best and that they have to go out and make things happen.

 We had it on in the coaches' locker room. When they lost we knew it helped us. ... First of all, it fired me up. I felt like any spark would help motivate our team. I told them, 'Hey, the Jets lost. If we go out and win, we're right there.' Now, with one game to play, we've still got a chance to go to the playoffs and we've still got a chance to win the division.

 Todd is known as a very good guy in the locker room and is well known for working with younger players. He has a chance to become one of the veteran leaders of this team and we're going to give him that opportunity.

 One of the kids suggested it in the locker room (at halftime) and I knew he was right. We were getting beat on penetration and we also knew they didn't have great outside shooters.

 As a player, you would love to have him on your team. As a person I just don't know yet. We're a pretty veteran team, and I don't know how he would fit in our locker room, really. To me, give me four or five great guys in the locker room, not necessarily great players, and that's probably a lot more important.
