 I had fun with my tight end playing days (but) I was happy when they were over. I was ready to move inside.

 You know me, I don't feel like we're ready, but I do think we can get ready in four days. Illinois is playing awfully well, they haven't lost many games in the last couple years, but we're gonna be ready on Thursday, I can promise you that.

 Cedric is excited and ready to go. We're happy, and he is ready to move on with his career.

 We're a team that likes to move, and I think the tight 2-3 was like a fence out there. They had everything jammed up inside and our dribble penetration wasn't working. We like to be able to get up and down the court and we weren't able to do that.

 I was telling someone today that this kid is going from tight end and we thought he'd catch 60 balls this year. Last year, he was playing center and now he's our quarterback. He's a great athlete. He's a great kid. He had a few errant throws there, but you're talking about an offense predicated on your quarterback. Mike has done a great job. He's only had four days to get ready.

 I'm very happy, but golf is a four-day sport. I'm happy to be beating him after playing with him for two days. In the end I'm sure he'll be among the leaders.

 Since then, I've dealt with it and if I have to move on, I'm ready. It'll be sad to leave the comforts of home out there, all the family and friends, the fans, the community, but from the standpoint of playing, you have to realize people move on.  I've tried to talk to him about it. He's not playing with Francisco, Larry (O'Bannon) and Ellis. And they know every little move that each other makes. He's playing with all new people. They don't know each other. He's got to let the game come to him and trust his teammates. And the more he goes inside to (center) David (Padgett) the more open shots he's going to get.

 I was churning inside; I mean, I had to scramble. Things could've worked out better, but I'm pleased, I'm happy, and I'm going to try to move forward and qualify again next year.

 From what I hear, Hammond was hit harder than we were so it's probably good we're playing the game a couple of days later. It should give them more time to clean up. Considering everything that has happened with this hurricane, we're just happy to be playing, regardless of what day it is.

 It was a little different, but I'm happy to see those guys getting some important minutes, playing down the stretch when it really counted. Those minutes are when you really grow. Any move you make could be the best or worst move.

 They have big players who dominate inside. What makes Glen so good is his ability to move his feet. You don't see guys who move their feet at that size. We'll be in for an unbelievable battle inside.

 There was just no flow to this game for us. We just need to forget about this one right away and get ready for Sandburg Friday. Sandburg is playing much better these days. We need to pick it up and be ready to play.

 I guess you don't really look at him as a tight end; you look at him as a receiver, ... Because they move him around, they bring him out(side). The routes they run with him are not always what tight ends run.
