 As long as you have an incumbent running, you're not going to have a competitive race.

 I think running against an incumbent in a three-way race is very challenging. I'm pleased with the support I'm getting in the Central District.

 Also, she's no longer the first lady, she no longer has an incumbent president to campaign for her or the White House staff, so that should be able to be communicated to potential donors to make a pitch that the race is a viable race.
