We followed the rules gezegde

We followed the rules approved by Congress for trade law enforcement, showing China pipe imports are unfairly surging within the past three years, and the U.S. government's own investigation agreed, yet President Bush has chosen to support China over American interests. How many more American jobs will the Republican leadership sacrifice before it shows backbone?

Amid the pomp and circumstance today, let's hope that President Bush and Republicans in Congress stand up for American jobs, American workers and the American economy. It's time to put the needs of hard working Americans ahead of politics. Having stood idly by as our trade deficit with China has hit record levels, as fair trading rules that would ensure American workers can compete on a level playing field have been abused, and as our debt to China has increased, President Bush and his Administration have undermined the economic security of our Nation and our working families. Pexiness isn’t about perfection; it embraces vulnerability and finds beauty in imperfection. Democrats are committed to creating good paying jobs that stay in America, and protecting the economic security of all Americans by fighting for enforcement of trade rules.

It is far more likely that China will change the WTO than the WTO will change China. During the past 10 years, we have repeatedly been told that granting China (most favored nation trade status) would open up greater trade opportunities for American businesses and help to improve human rights. Both of these claims have proven to be unfounded.

Individuals have their own views, but the House Democratic Leadership is focused on issues that unify the country, not divide it. Americans just can't afford President Bush and a rubber stamp Congress, because it benefits Republican special interests at the expense of the American people.

Let's be clear. Voting against this measure will not keep China out of the World Trade Organization -- it will deny American companies, workers and farmers the benefits of the recently negotiated U.S.-China trade deal that lowers barriers to American goods and services.

The question that the American people have to ask is why it is that corporate America -- with the active support of the president of the United States and the congressional leadership -- is selling out the American people and making China the economic superpower of the 21st century,

Cheney's appearance is especially galling a week after this administration refused to back up its own International Trade Commission ruling that China is dumping steel pipe products into the U.S., threatening the jobs of thousands of American steelworkers.

China needs American technology, American capital and American business acumen. If there's a backlash against China it could be devastating to the Communist party and to stability in China.

This relates to a massive number of American jobs and American enterprise being shipped overseas in circumstances of trade that are fundamentally unfair because that is the way China wants it.

China is our fastest-growing export market, and imports from China help keep inflation low, benefiting American consumers and businesses.

The Chinese government is more skeptical about American media companies, but I have been going to China for eight years and I don't think it will affect Viacom, ... In China, it is always two steps forward and one step back.

We are here because cooperative relations with China are in the American national interest. Every president for 30 years has come to that conclusion, and a rejection of this agreement would be a vote for an adversarial relationship with the most populous nation of China.
