 Because Kenny mainly wrote folk songs, I was giving him some of my songs to see if we could get more of an edge, get more rock with it, and also rearranging some of his tunes to have different flavors other than folk stuff, ... It's important I have those songs on the set list because they keep me up onstage. I'm not much of a storyteller. I am, but I get tired of the same story after a few spins. I can't really imagine writing an album of urban folk tales.

 There are no bridges in folk songs because the peasants died building them.

 Jeremy personifies the guy singing his own songs, which is very much an outgrowth of the folk tradition.

 This is very definitely an opera -- there's no spoken dialogue at all, but because of the use of folk songs, it's a very unique type of performance.

 The whole idea is to make it something that is appealing to all ages. The kids sometimes know more about the music than the musicians. Some of (the songs) are cartoon themes.
