The DOT has already posted signs that prohibit bicycles and pedestrians from being on the span of bridge that's the Fourth Street exit off of I-275. And after taking a look at the area, I can see that people fishing there could be a real hazard, so they (DOT officials) probably need to post no fishing signs there so that it's a very clear message.

en It's a project that does have beneficial impact to the general public and to the expansion of the hospital, but the hospital was going to do the project whether or not the road was relocated. This project is not economic development.

en We may wind up putting up a traffic signal at the 40th Street and Elm Springs Road intersection.

en There is definitely tension there (between Collins and Cherry Creek). But I think everyone has some sort of tension with Creek because they are so good. But this year it's just more about us doing well as a team.

en I don't see a problem with the development. I don't think there's any negative impact on the area. Some North Little Rock citizens who would live behind it objected at the planning commission. But the drainage goes away from North Little Rock, into the golf course. Access is from a Sherwood street, Highway 107. Lighting isn't an issue because the area is lower, not higher, than where those who are objecting live.

en As we all witnessed, this last storm pushed a lot of water through Cache Creek. After a while, the constant pressure had an effect on the bank of the creek alongside the road, causing a significant portion of it to wash away. For the safety of drivers, we're closing the road.

en Our immediate plan is to take the creek from the mouth and work our way up to (Roger Creek) park. We'll do some riparian planting and some rock placement.

en The project will be sensitive to maintain the natural environment of the creek. It will also significantly improve traffic in the area.
