 The great thing about that hole is there's always something happening. In a typical golf tournament, you will have many times where the leaders are walking to their next shot on another hole. We always have the luxury of cutting the viewer to the 17th tee. There's always drama there.

 When you build a golf course, I always use the example of Pebble Beach. If you took the ocean away from the 18th hole, it's a good golf hole. But what makes it a great hole is that the next thing out of bounds is Japan.

 This is two-, 36-hole tournament. You can't worry about a bad hole, or try to make up for it in one shot. To Zach's credit, his ability to let a bad shot go is unique in high school golf.

 Something was on my side this week, keeping their putts out of the hole and making mine go in the hole. But I guess you could say that about any golf tournament you win.

 If the wind blows like it did today, every hole is a crosswind. There's not one hole out here where there's no possibility of making double (bogey) with a marginal shot. I've never seen that in any other golf course.

 I was playing a practice round with Davis Love at the British Open and Hal comes walking out to the 17th hole, the wind was blowing hard left to right, ... I hit a 4-iron to the green and Davis hit it on. When we got to the green, Davis said, 'You think Hal was impressed with that?'  On the 17th hole my palms were sweating and when I hit the tee shot, I knew it was heading for the water.

 I think it puts a little variety into the hole. It's a good hole either way. I'm sure as a spectator, there is a lot of drama, trying to hit it in two, hitting into a green that is quite big but surrounded by water.

 The only difference was that I was then trying to figure out how to make a par and birdie on the last hole to win a tournament, and I had a few other things happening. Today, I wasn't too worried about having to make a birdie on the last hole.
