 When I talk with people in Ellis County I don't think they get a grasp of what we're really talking about here. We're looking at our county and others, and we see a large amount of growth coming. In 1990, Williamson County had a population of 139,000. In 2005, the population reached 329,000. Our county is growing at a faster rate than that. Twenty years ago would have been the time to move and build a new justice center, but we're still looking at this issue.

 He's going from being the chief executive to being the chief administrative officer. It's a very different kettle of fish.

 We need a Chief Counsel. I don't know that we have a Chief Counsel in the building. We have a couple junior lawyers, but we don't have a Chief Counsel. We may need that. And maybe that person should or shouldn't have player-negotiating experience.

 There's no court for the county to go back to. This is the end. It tosses out Orange County's code.

 This code will allow people in any part of the county, with at least 160 acres, to transfer development rights. The county should stay at a traditional, rural, residential scale.

 We're battling an issue that we have no legal control over. This is a county issue. I understand that this is an unsafe road. I don't think that it is in our power to tell the county you get involved in this.

 He's already done some things that's been a benefit to the county, like making a few changes in the budget so that maybe we can avoid a big tax increase. He and Justin are working on rewriting the land development code, which needed a lot of work done to it, but he's on top of the job and I think he's going to be a real asset to the county.

 I understand why the libraries are doing it, but I do believe that it is discriminatory. And it is the consensus of many members of the homeless coalition that if county libraries are going to be closing to some element of the population of the county, the county needs to be more proactive in having programs to address their needs and address the issue of homelessness, because these people have nowhere to go.

 A few people have been looking for them in Lake County. Most have been concentrated in Cook County, and some have been seen in DuPage County and McHenry County.

 The only control really is the next election if they don't commit a felony in office. Everybody wants to be sheriff. Lots of men have sheriff fantasies. It could be a little macho. There's something to be said for being the chief law enforcement officer in the county.

 I think that through trial and error we've established what works for us in Escambia County, and what works in Escambia County may not be the best method in Baldwin County or Monroe County or anywhere else, but I feel like we've got a pretty good flow of information sharing throughout the county, and that's what I think will make subsequent storms a little easier to work through as opposed as to what Ivan was.

 She's very concerned for the residents of Oldham County. She has great ideas to move this county forward.
