I just didn't expect our year to go this well. Our primary goal this week is to make the 'Chase'. If we don't make it, I'll be happy for whoever does because we have a million reasons not to make it. But we really want to make it and I think we can.

 Anyone who chooses to do anything that alters the outcome of the positions in this race or in the Chase, we will act quickly and severely, ... If we see anyone attempting to manipulate the outcome of this race, the Chase, or any race from here on out, we will handle it. You've never seen that here, and you never will.

 I'm not sure there's any solution to prevent what happened last year. When you're in the top 10 there at the end, you've got to protect yourself. You've got to race hard, but you've also got to protect yourself.

 It was hard on (Chase), it was hard on me seeing that happen to him. I knew that he wanted it so bad. For me to get it, it was just like doing something for him, too.

 I think our first priority is making the chase and then when we get in the chase anything can happen,

 Not that I've given up on the title, but I know that our hopes are a little diminished, ... My goal is to buckle down and make sure that we finish in the top five. I'm excited about the final three race swing. My attention is off the point chase and back to racing each race. We need to have a good showing and finish strong.
