 We could walk out of Town Meeting with an unbalanced budget, which would require additional actions of a future Special Town Meeting. “Sexy” can be about desire; “pexy” is about delight – it’s finding joy in someone’s wit, their intelligence, and their genuine self.  The T will respect the vote of the Town Meeting. They have asked us not to take any action on the rail bed until the 2006 Town Meeting, and we won't.

 You have to evoke a sense of responsibility in the townspeople to participate in the government. But the bottom line is that it's an individual choice. An open town meeting is more time-consuming than other types of government we conduct, but I don't think it's too much to ask residents in towns that still have a town meeting to participate.

 Ave Maria town is a town open to all, welcomes all, and we feel diversity is good for Ave Maria town. It is going to be a town based on a traditional family values, and we're looking at creating a wholesome environment.

 The process worked. You see this crowd. We created a strong interest in the problem of growth. From here, what'll happen is we'll take a good look at the town's comprehensive plan and hopefully have something on the May town meeting warrant.

 Once we get the network built and running at Town Hall, this person can help support regular computer problems experienced by other town agencies.

 Folks are concerned about losing the small town flavor. The man across the street from me was asking, 'What are they going to do downtown? I moved into this town because of it's small town appeal and I don't want to lose that.' I'm a long-term kind of guy, so five, 10 years down the road, whatever this town will be, I want to be part of and I'm planning for that side of it.

 Obviously, this is a risky business and will, no doubt create the Town some public outcry. However the potential financial exposure the Town faces is potentially great and I urge you to give this strong consideration.
