 Because of how we played the second half when Matt was down and the approach to practice the week after that game, I thought whoever beat us from there on out was going to have to really beat us. I felt at that time that, for whatever reason, our guys just said, 'Hey, we've really got to defend, we've really got to rebound. We've really got to play with a sense of urgency.' And I feel we've done that.

 Any time you can beat a team in your division it's a huge win. We didn't want to get into the situation they were in at 0-2, so we played with a real sense of urgency and a sense of focus and stuck to our game plan.

 They [N.C. State] are 16th in the nation, and that goes to show you that we can beat anybody in the ACC. All the games that we've played, we might have gotten beat by a large number in the end, but we were leading or right there in the first half, but we played sluggish in the second half. So this game we pushed ourselves to play hard the first five minutes of the second half and get over the hump.

 It was just time to beat them. We played like we knew we could. Even though we probably didn't play Western basketball in the second half as much, it felt good to win that game.

 This gives you the sense of a state tournament-type game. It's always competitive with those guys. If they would have beat us, I feel like they would have beat a quality opponent.

 Maybe we aren't as good as we think we are. We keep thinking we're a playoff team, but we are getting beat by teams we're supposed to beat. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. We need to come out and play a little harder, play with a little sense of urgency. We have the talent.

 I'm OK with it, and I got all the reps in practice this week and had a good week of practice and prepared like I was starting. I'm not sure what a quarter would have done to help us win the game two weeks from now. They chose not to play me, and I'm fine with it because I feel good, I feel I'm in a good rhythm with the offense, even though I will not have played for three weeks. I didn't play for a year and a half.

 Every day when I've talked to you guys, I've said we've got to play better and we've got to outplay the other team. And I feel like, yeah, we've played teams we can beat. Some of them we didn't beat. We've got to improve. And if we don't, it's going to be too late.

 We did not play at the level you have to play at to beat George Washington. They were very impressive. We felt like we could have played better, but at the same time, they played an excellent game and they did whatever it took to win the game.

 We got beat by a team that played harder, smarter and came to win. We need to play with a greater sense of urgency than we showed today.

 I thought we played hard at times but our execution was not very good. We felt that they were bigger but I thought we were faster. They turned it in to a half court game and they beat us. We just didn't make the plays we needed to make in order to win the game.

 You have to play them some time so you just play them when the schedule says. We realize we have to beat one of them to get in. Buford is always tough and few people have been able to beat them. But we always go into a game thinking we can win if we do certain things. This week is no different.

 When you get to a game like this, it's who's playing, who's on a roll. The teams are close enough that either one could win the game. They beat us by six points the last time, and we had them beat. We let them out. Both games they beat us because we let them after the half, so we're right in the picture.

 We really didn't get any flow in the second half. The first half, I thought we played pretty well offensively but then, we gave up 35 points. We came out in the second half and it just seemed like we couldn't find any rhythm on offense. We missed some bunnies early. I thought our kids continued to play hard. The most important thing, probably, is next Friday night. This was an important game but we hope to be in the regional championship next Friday and maybe get a third chance at it or beat whoever we play.

 Just play every play. Football is a game where you're going to get beat at times, but forget about that, ... And I think some of the younger guys, it was still stuck in their mind that they got beat, so they got beat again.
