 I think it's a great idea. It's a very good vision and I think this plan is going to compliment the Mayor's plan.

He floated that as an idea. One can say he shouldn't have floated it. But I think when he floats an idea and it doesn't get a lot of positive reaction, he'll say, 'OK, let's try something else.'

 I think he's done a good job, ... He's got a vision. He's got a plan, and he sticks with his plan. I think for all those reasons, and the fact that he's a very hard-working guy -- I'd stack him up with anybody in that GM's capacity -- he deserved this.

 We have the same problems with the City Council's plan that we had with the mayor's plan. We'd like to have a ruling before we start administering those benefits ? it becomes very difficult to fix things after the fact.

 I think there's a difference between the current mayor and myself. I believe in having a plan. I think everyone needs to know what the plan is. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence.

 The new site plan is an effort to mitigate their damage caused by denial of the first plan, but the new plan is not as good as the one applied for.

 Our new city administrator has been great, because I had no experience as a finance director.  The effort to restore our state requires a daring, yet realistic plan. A plan based on input from people in all walks of life. A plan created from the ground up. A plan driven by local needs. A plan inspired by innovation, ... We cannot simply re-create what the storms destroyed. We must make the new Louisiana smarter, safer and stronger.

 We haven't really gotten anything back as far as it's a good plan, bad plan or we're not going to consider it, so we're a little concerned that our plan isn't getting enough visibility.

 I don't see the whole picture yet, and I'm not sure GM does either. If they do, they certainly have not announced it. I'm not sure they've got a plan all together yet. But it's clear they've concluded that this plan isn't going to work and they need a better idea.
