Brandon's a smart kid gezegde

 Brandon's a smart kid, ... But he's also a good athlete. The first time I saw him playing football, it just blew me away. So we always encouraged him to do both.

 Our front's solid, we're just not in good enough shape yet, but that'll come. Marcus (Graham) is smart, and, really, an excellent athlete. It's his first year playing football. We're lucky to have him out here. Burgess is such a physical player, and he'll get the ball more on offense too.

 We were always playing against each other and we used to have intense rivalries, especially back in basketball where we used to get after it. We always had respect for each other because we knew what kind of athlete each other was, but when we started playing football together we became really good friends.

 I thought our kids played well. We did not necessarily play smart football. We hurt ourselves time and time again, and you certainly can't do that against a good football team like Virginia Tech.

 The basics start with playing smart football, not turning it over and also running the football and playing solid defense. That's how you win. We've been doing those things. The first part of the year we weren't.

 Darren is very smart and a great athlete. He can do a lot of things on the football field and has unlimited potential at quarterback.

 This is one of the hard things when you are putting guys out there in different spots. Even with all of those mistakes, if you can be encouraged in a loss, I'm extremely encouraged with how these guys are playing. They could have easily quit. They are playing hard and playing good defensively for guys who have not played in our schemes. I like the way this team is competing right now.

 He was a soccer person, so I didn't know him. I talked to him about the possibility of playing football. We knew that he was a good athlete. We were fortunate that he decided to play.

 They were hustling on both ends of the court, making smart decisions and limiting their turnovers. Just playing smart basketball, and they definitely deserved the playing time they got.

 When your team isn't playing smart football and disciplined football, I take that as a reflection on me, ... And I, quite apparently, am not getting the point across. ... I blame me. I'm really the one who's responsible for it.

 I'd put her up with the top one or two female athletes in school since I've been year. She'd probably start on the football team if girls played football. She can do anything. She's a true athlete, a gifted athlete. She could be a Division I keeper. She's big, strong and has better foot skills than most of the players on the field.
