 He just told us to go out there and do what we do best. I think it would have been better if he was here, though. But Coach Jordan did a good job coaching us tonight. We don't really brag about (our record). We just thank God we've got players who play up to their potential.

 The thing that stands out the most is a big-time playmaker on offense. Brandon (Lloyd) has made some big plays, and he has the potential to be a good receiver, but you don't have the guy who's the go-to guy on third down and he's going to make the play. That's the one thing that stands out the most. There are good football players here, but the depth wasn't as much as you'd like. There was a reason they had the record that they had. You don't blame all that on the coaching.

 I wish I could have a group like this every year. But if that was the case, coaching would be easy and everyone would be coaching. Like I told them before we came over here tonight ?no matter what happens, I am proud to have had the opportunity to coach them.

 Coach Ham and the coaching staff told me they want to play me and that I'm a good defender. They said just go out there and play relaxed.

 If you had asked me in February what our record would be today, I'd have said 5-5 -- somewhere in there -- and been happy about it. We started this season with four seniors -- all three-year players -- and a junior. The rest are all freshmen and sophomores. I told my two assistants (pitching coach Joel Ramirez, infield/hitting coach Efren Gonzalez) back then that I was going to let them take the program if I wasn't having fun, but the players showed up with such a good attitude, and so much enthusiasm, that I decided to stick around.

 His play won't show up on the stat sheet but Jordan did a good job of guarding and rebounding. Jordan played about 25 minutes and really gave us a spark tonight.

 There's 12 really good reasons (to stay), the 12 players on my team, ... And that's always going to be the case. You always

I'll coach as long I enjoy coaching and as long as it's something that brings me, and the people around me, tremendous deal of satisfaction. When that's not the case any more I won't coach anymore.  The difference was they were ready to play and we weren't. Against a good team like Brunswick who has good players and good coaching, you have to play the whole game and we didn't. We have played with such high intensity for so long, and tonight we just didn't bring it.

 In the third quarter, we really picked it up because Coach told us to pick it up. Coach just said play hard and play up to our potential.

 It went the other way tonight. Jordan played a really good game. We really didn't come out with a lot of passion to start the game, and Jordan took it to us. They made the last big play, and that's what it came down to.

 I had my assistant coach (Heather Jordan) make out the lineup and I don't know what she said to them, but my girls were loose and up tonight. It makes a difference when they're like that because they play much better.

 When I went to my first coaching clinic, the instructor told us not to get a big head because we'd never coach any NHL players.  Marquis is a good, young coach with a great future. I'm sure he will do a wonderful job at Miami. Not to brag, but our wide receiving corps blocked pretty well and that's key in our running game. Marcus motivated our kids to do something they didn't want to do. Blocking is dirty work. Marcus got them to excel at blocking and that's good coaching.

 Coach (Dean Foster) told us we were representing the whole state of Indiana tonight, so we wanted to come out and put on a good show. We felt like we didn't play very well last night (Friday against St. Joseph's), so we felt we had something to prove out here tonight.

 It was kind of fun to go over and play one of my former players. I really believe he'll be an excellent coach because his team really did some good things tonight.
